Hi Guys,

So, i've been playing with Salamanders in Heresy for over a year now, I have a good knowledge of my legion and regularly playing against every other legion in the months I have a decent understanding of my strengths and weaknesses.

This list is to be used for a 3v3, i am to be teamed with Mechanicum and Raven Guard against 5 Knights, Cultists (not sure what he's running but all i know is it's like IG for 30k) and Sons of Horus.

Before the flood of impending (that is too much points to put into this and that) please know that i am compensating for my allies, I am a slow army in comparison and it's a friendly, most of what I'm using is newly purchased and testing out for now. But, constructive criticism is always taken into account smile.png

Part of the Covenant of Fire Rite of War is a Limitation that says you can't have more Heavy Support choices (and Fast Attack combined but you don't have those) than total troop choices.

You only have 2 troops choices, but 3 heavy support. So you'll need a third Troops choice or one less Heavy Support choice.

Pyroclasts are cool and are troops with the Rite of War if you're stuck for what to add - although it seems like you know your legion well.

Other than that, I would say that the Veteran Tactical Squad could really benefit from some upgrades like Artificer Armour, Special/Heavy Weapons, or Melta Bombs for hitting vehicles with outflank.

Very good eye, the third Heavy Support choice is actually a Dedicated Transport for the Praetor and the Firedrakes, I added it in the wrong section, that has been amended and the list is legal again, thank you for pointing that out to me! :)

I love pyrochlasts, though at the moment i only have 5, no transport for them and no effective use in the game i'm about to play though after a purchase of another 15 they'll be a lot more viable especially when i get the transports for them. Again thank you for the suggestion.

The Veteran Squad, for this game only are a diversion, my opponents have never seen me use most of the above and are expecting me to be walking up the field, so the lack of armour and bombs is just to fill the points and use the outflank to distract, they don't know they aren't equipped ;)

Apart from that thank you for your compliment on my knowledge of the legion, many defeats and few victories have led to the current list i'm taking :)
