I got the LE Meduson with the CD. Seems wierd that the big July release is just the CD. Hoping maybe some expanded version of the actual story (awesome by the way). JH79 Posted July 23, 2016 Share Posted July 23, 2016 Well this is out now and it is just a re-release of the already released audio except in CD format and snazzy new artwork as showcased a few months back. It's a shame that BL sought to fill July's Heresy slot with a re-release and not something new, such as a continuation of Marr's hunt for the Shattered Legions in the form of another 70 minute audiodrama to make this a double bill release, deffo would have been worth the double dip! I havent had much to do with the shattered legion story lines because theyve bored me with the crazy amount of exposure theyve got for groups that were utterly smashed. What is required hearing/reading before hetting this? I havent had much to do with the shattered legion story lines because theyve bored me with the crazy amount of exposure theyve got for groups that were utterly smashed. This was originally part of 8 Shattered Legion stories released in an exclusive hardback only collection called Meduson back in May 2015. This was only available at Games Workshops Nottingham HQ. This specific story is tied to the first short of the collection called Meduson by Dan Abnett but can easily be read / listened to without prior knowledge. Confusingly enough The Either and another short from the collection called Grey Talon were released a few weeks apart as full production Audio Drama's around March 2016. Now one would assume that because 2 of the 8 shorts were released as Audio Drama's that BL would finish the collection as such and accompany it with an Ebook and Hardback but instead they released something called Meduson: Ultimate Edition which contained 6 of the 8 stories in a printed hardback, the Audio-Drama scripts for the 2 stories they adapted earlier this year along with a CD copy for those too and then as a bonus a brand new Shattered Legion exclusive story. It's quite possibly the most confusing release pattern i have ever seen from BL for something that should of been quite straight forward to deal with.
