Hi Guys,

Thought I'd start up a separate thread for the Radical Inquisition allies planned to fight alongside my Relictors.  Will be starting with just one small radical Xanthite detachment comprised of an Ordos Malleus Inquisitor and his personal henchmen.

Here's a WIP pic of the inquisitor, his sword will count as either power sword, force sword or daemonblade depending on his loadout.  He'll have a chaos bolt pistol when it arrives to replace the flamer thing. Kitbashed him from a spare SM sniper scout sergeant body for the carapace armour and SM power armour arms & legs for a loose counts-as power armour if needed.  He'll get the chest skull replaced with a =][= logo...

For the bulk of the henchmen I'm rectconning my SM scout squad, who were going to get very little use. Will convert them with some Cadian heads and storm bolters and then tweak the armour colour (the HB guy will remain with my sniper marines get a meltagun!).

And lastly... I've got some more bits on order to make up a psyker using a catachan body as a starting point:

Thanks for looking and any feedback/ideas etc welcome!! Will be a good couple of weeks until I have all the bits..

Some parts arrived so tonight I finished building the inquisitor....

After playing around with some list building I've settled on a bolt-pistol, hell-rifle and carapace armour for his loadout. After hunting around some bits sellers for an ancient looking rifle I stumbled across a Skitarii galvanic rifle which has exactly the look I was after, but with a scope added to suit it's 36" range smile.png

Nearly done on the inquisitor, all that's left is a light dusting over with some extra light grey (humbrol enamel #28 works wonders on pretty much any colour) and some stone/grass basing to finish.

Managed to get some scribbling on the book & scroll by scratching through the thick top coat with a pin to reveal the darker primer under, there's absolutely no way I could paint lines that tiny!..

Always nice to see a new Inquisitor warband, but I'm not sure if those marine parts are changed enough. He still looks a lot like a marine.

He does, doesn't he? It would have been nice to see some other legs (Scion?) used to have a bit more variety.

Thanks for the feedback guys, Yep he does look very marine-ish, although ill put it down to the fact he was mostly made out of my leftover marine bits ;)

...But maybe this can also add to his backstory of rebelling against the inquisition to join the relictors (who he'll be allied up with)

Today I've added another HQ inquisitor option - an Ordos Xenos inquisitor with conversion beamer, converted from the BAC chaplain.. used a slightly modified GK psilencer for the beamer and a trimmed down GK shield =][= logo for his chest..

Not sure if I should add a relic book onto his backpack like the other guy?

and a kitbashed psyker built, he's a bit small next to the acolytes so added a spare servo skull to add to his size

Great head choice! Is that going to be a Hellgun inquisitor?

Thanks, saw the head on a bits site and had to have it!

Yep that's a hellgun! (used a skitarii ranger gun for it with a scope attached). This guy will be helping out my Relictor scout sniper squad as a psyker with prescience etc msn-wink.gif

--------edit-----------

just noticed you're a fellow kiwi in wellington! thumbsup.gif

The cadian heads on the henchmen were looking a bit too bobble-headed, so found some scion heads and much happier with these smile.png

Also made some simple ]['s with some plastic strip. Pretty much ready for their new paint-job now....

here's a few minis I've been building for the detachment...

deathcult assassins, converted from dark eldar wyches using WFB swords and statuesque miniatures heads (the cyborg female ones)
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p218/typicalaquarian/Warhammer%2040k/Inquisition/deathcult_built.jpg

a couple of priests, with swaps to the same swords, using necromunda brethren minis:

FW Solomon Lok, with his servitor converted using a SM scout heavy bolter:

and also finished some better detail on the conversion beamer:
