I really want those shipping containers.

@Juggernut, after seeing CommodusXIII 28mm refinery I want to copy that and soda cans would make for a great terrain piece in an industrial setting. Just need to find more industrial bits like teeny catwalks and stuff. Off to find out what scale of model trains will be close to AT...

Take a look at N scale model trains. They are roughly 10mm scale. Z is about 20% smaller at roughly 8mm scale.

It'd be nice to get a basing set, or guide to get bases to look right at that scale. The containers would help, I note GW have already used some containers on their bases.

I'm hoping they release the train we've seen too. While I doubt I can afford the resin Titanicus realm of battle set when it comes out some things to help further with sense of scale and diversity of terrain will be good.

My gaming group is planning to play 28mm AT with our titans and knights. We have about 15 titans and the same number knights between us

Where are you based? I've got a 40k warlord on the way so I'll want to play with it once it's built.

Thank you Mr Yellow and Mendi Warrior! I'll give those a look. It'd probably look good for bases too.

I had been tempted to buy some epic rhinos and land raiders for my Warlords base but wouldn't have the heart to mash them up a bit.

Well, there are always the extra armour plates on the warlord sprue but they won't help convey the titanic dimensions of the intact one stomping on them rolleyesclean.gif

And maybe a couple of bits left over from the terrain sprues

I'd check my BFG and 40K bits, there might be a couple that could be used (e.g. BFG antennas) + scratchbuilt stuff

Old epic stuff might be tempting but definitely not collectors items, only if you can grab a bunch of very cheap rhinos (seen some on eBay going for about $1 a piece in a recent past)

Also have a look at DIY stores, there are sometimes cheap stuff which can be hijacked

Yeah, I was looking at little lots of epic goodies on ebay. Maybe have a land raider blasted on a titan's base, a rhino underfoot of a warhound, maybe get a few vehicles and marines to make an objective marker. I may bite the bullet and pick up something, plus I need to buy magnets. And yeah, good idea to go over some old bits. I sold off my BFG fleet but still had sprues of extra bits. That and scour over my partial sprues.

Got this in an email today. :(

  Princeps,

We’re sorry to report that the Adeptus Titanicus: Grand Master Edition has sold out and will not be returning for the foreseeable future.

Yet, hope is not lost.

Everything that was in the Grand Master Edition is still available. So whether you’re after the core set, extra TitansKnights or scenery, you’ll be able to assemble your maniple and wage war with the most powerful machines ever to walk the battlefields of the 31st Millennium.

“Gods. They are the refuge of the weak and the heretic. The gods of mortals do not walk this plane as the Validus does, and if they did, they would be in awe, humbled by its might. It is a god-machine. Where it walks, the earth trembles. There is nothing in creation that its steel hands cannot tear down. Nothing birthed into the universe that can pierce its armoured shell.”

- Princeps Niall Cathalan, Titan Validus, Imperator-class.

Just wanted to give a heads up. There are 8mm Shipping Containers on shapeway, if you look hard enough. They are just what people are looking for. Wink wink.

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done

though I think they're getting some rules wrong(or maybe they're deliberately house ruling it? not sure, hard to tell without having the rules myself yet...)

They had another game as a first play also which was pretty good. Will be hard to tell rules etc until we have it in person but seem pretty consistent between the 2 games. Makes me really want the other warlord weapons and titans though, it seems like a lot of fun as soon as its not 2 identical forces fighting each other

well sure, messing up the rules is okay so long as you commit to fallowing those alternate rules consistently.

and yes, getting the actual models for the different weapon options will be a painful wait, along with the other Titan Classes and their weapons.

Yeah macro + plasma looks to be a super effective combo for putting hurt on an opponent titan as long as you can be in range and not get knights bashing you to death. I am so pleased with how effective both of those guys used their knights. The feint used by ash to force the other guy to position his warlords weapons out of his warlords firing arc was excellent. Got unlucky with command rolls or he might have gotten the upper hand quickly that one.

In the US, I was able to still make a preorder yesterday on Miniatures Market. I'm not sure how they are in regards to international orders; but they might be worth a look for anyone else who was still interested in the grand master edition. I am keeping an eye on my email just in case I get a message cancelling my preorder, fingers crossed that doesn't happen!

That's my impression as well. Titan warfare should be something of a slugfest but when it's only two warlords blasting at each other as knights hop in and out of cover, there's not much to make for an interesting game; minimal maneuver, few choices, just stripping shields and allocating repair dice. I strongly suspect that as soon as you add even one more titan to one side the rules will open up and you'll have something great.

Looks cool so far, I enjoy how the objectives are thematic and encourage you to take some measures to be defensive (minimize losses) or keep the enemy out of your battle zone (hold the line). Will encourage use of Warhounds for hit and run tactics.

I think these are what you're after?

They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them, and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines and they shall know no fear.
