Cybershadow – Praetoria Set 1

 

The Cybershadow Praetoria as we have designated them are an oddity within the Cybershadow military structure, although they can be seen operating and supporting other Cybershadow forces from time to time they seem to be an independent element not under the main chain of command. Their place within the Technocracy is not fully understood and is still open to some debate within military circles but it is known that they are an extremely aggressive and highly mobile force.

Cybershadow – HK-1L Hunter Killer Combat Automaton

 

Another battle robot fielded by the Technocracy, the HK-1L is a dedicated rapid strike unit tasked with seeking out enemy vanguard formations in advance of the Technocracies main battle line and attacking those formations to cause maximum disruption. The designs long legs contribute to its high attack speed and elevated line of sight on the battlefield. The HK-1 is well armoured for its size and incorporates a defensive energy shield emitter located on its back. Two modular weapons hard points allow for the fitting of various weapon systems with energy based weapons being the most common.

A variant of the HK-1 the HK-1T has been observed operating in poor terrain and replaces the units legs with a large high speed track system providing excellent stability and good ground pressure in challenging terrain conditions.

The Novan Elites forward operating base (FOB) is a pre-fabricated modular fortification that can be assembled in many configurations. This set contains the components to assembly one configuration “A” structure with two gatehouses and four defence turret mounts. This model should see further modules released to expand on the theme and open up new layout options.

Cybershadow – IS-10

 

The Cybershadow self-propelled infantry support weapon system (IS-10) is manned and fielded by the Technocracies Protector infantry forces in the roll of light fire support units. Often seen operating in defence of Cybershadow installations and bases they are a surprisingly effective mobile weapon system. The platform houses a compact micro reactor power core and mounts a twin linked energy cannon, both the IS-10 itself and the operator are protected by an onboard energy shield emitter.

Novan Regulars – Locust Battle Striders

 

One of the first “Battle” class Striders deployed by Novan Regulars regiments the Locust is basically an enlarged and upscaled scout strider. The venerable Mk1 has only one weapons hard point like the scout strider that inspired it, and is often now deployed as a heavy recon unit and sometimes as a command vehicle due to the greater internal space (port side) allowing for the fitting of a command and control suite.

The Mk2 has two weapon hardpoints. It is common practise in many regiments to field the Mk1 and Mk2 machines together as a team.

The Warrior II is a purpose designed Infantry Fighting Vehicle in common service with many of the great Novan houses, created to transport an infantry squad in relative safety to the front line and to fight alongside that squad when they are dismounted as an infantry armour team. There are several patterns in service and many different weapon systems have been fitted over the years, it is rugged and relatively fast for an armoured transport vehicle two features that have ensured its longevity, with the basic hull seeing development for many other military vehicles such as recon, command, heavy weapons carrier and artillery chassis to name but a few it is sure to remain in service for many years to come.

Novan Elites – Lynx Pattern Destroyers

Lynx class Destroyers are small and fast craft that are capable of quickly delivering their deadly cargo. For its size the Lynx is heavily armed, making it a jack of all trades. Its basic armament includes two dorsal mounted twin turrets to take out incoming ordnance, and two pairs of prow torpedo tubes. Its broadsides allow for different types of weapon systems which can be changed whilst in dock due to its modular design. Most common broadside configurations are either weapon batteries or launch bays for a small compliment of fighters.

 

Its diverse armament is also its main disadvantage. A lot of space normally used for supplies such as fuel, ammunition, foodstuffs, and oxygen is sacrificed for the Lynx’s many weapon systems. What this means is that the Lynx needs constant resupplying, making it incapable of long independent missions away from sources of supply. Because of this the Lynx is often deployed on short duration missions only, when not operating as part of a larger battle flotilla.

This particular design is one of the most prolific machines fielded by Eloi battlegroups, Banshee’s operate in units of three with a piloted command unit and what appears to be two linked drones working in concert, although fully piloted combat teams have also been observed.

 

Armaments, two arm mounted heavy laser cannon left and right, and two shoulder mounted medium rail cannon. Command units sometimes sacrifice one arm cannon for a close combat weapon instead, a large sword being the most common weapon observed.

This looks awesome – any thoughts on making it available at a slightly larger size? I'd love to use this as a proxy for a smaller Titan in Adeptus Titanicus, rather than as a Knight. I'd like it to stand taller than a Warhound, which are ~65mm.

 

75mm to the top of the head (~90mm to the top of the wing) would make it a great starting point to convert into a Revenant.

Eloi Federation – Typhoon Heavy Tank

 

To give you a sense of scale:

 

Typhoon Heavy Grav-tank

The Typhoon is the Eloi Federations heaviest anti-gravity combat vehicle encounter to date. A swift and highly manoeuvrable vehicle for its size it combines unprecedented mobility with lethal and highly accurate firepower.

Typhoon’s are known to be crewed by two Eloi, a pilot/driver and a weapons operator both of which sit in the small rear compartment. The apparent central cockpit is in fact a highly advanced sensor array, real time data gathering module and terrain following suite linked directly to the crew by a neural linked helmet interface. This gives both crew members unprecedented situational awareness of their surroundings on the battlefield.

The turret armament consists of two heavy laser cannon with a secondary centrally mounted rail gun sitting between the barrels. However two other weapons systems have also been observed on this chassis, a large long range energy weapon (the quantum lance), and a triple barrelled indirect fire weapon (the trinity plasma mortar).

The graceful curvature and the thick well slopped composite armour plates of Eloi vehicles provide excellent protection from enemy fire but it is the tanks speed and agility that is considered to be its primary defensive measure.
