Biohazard Posted May 4, 2017 Author Share Posted May 4, 2017 Thanks guys, that was ridiculously easy effect to achieve. I painted the shoulder pads with a few coats of a light bone colour, in my case P3 Menoth White highlight, then added agrax earth shade all over, while that was still wet I added some green wash as well, let it dry for a couple of minutes and then lightly pressed a bit tissue against the pad. Biohazard Posted May 4, 2017 Author Share Posted May 4, 2017 No worries buddy. It works better the heavier you are with the wash. Like I say it's very quick and easy though. No painting tonight but I did build the last two Chaos Marines for my Warband. One guy with the Mark of Slaanesh and a bolt pistol the other guy is either going to be Undivided or possibly Nurgle again. I'm not sure. I think I'll probably go for the higher leadership though. I still have a few bits and pieces to add to these, mainly trophies and pipe work for the flamer. Biohazard Posted May 5, 2017 Author Share Posted May 5, 2017 Thanks a lot buddy. Both Shadow War and the Black Legion have really got my brain sparking again buddy. It feels good to be working on them and see them take shape. That is Enkomis head, Id removed the crest and the side 'ear' pieces a while back to use the head on a Fist/Claw Jugger Lord that I rarely used. So when I was building this guy I thought it would look cool and sinister so had to slice some of those bits from another SM helmet and re add them. When it comes to the horns I originally had a brace of optics similar to my WE Warpsmith that I was going to add but they just looked comical with the skull. The horns were an attempt to cover the damage I'd done botching those other bits, they're actually toe claws from the Raptor kit. I'll hopefully get the other 2 members painted this weekend. The guy who wants this really wanted the Lord to have some really menacing lightning claws. Biohazard Posted May 9, 2017 Author Share Posted May 9, 2017 Thanks folks, I did try adding couple of different styles of wings to the head but it made it very top heavy imho so i think I'll leave it as is for now. I'm really happy with how he's coming along. A lot of tiny gaps to be filled and areas to be cleaned up but like I say I'm really pleased with how he looks so far.
