I have been painting since 2nd edition when I was really young so my painting and scheme has changes a bit over the years! I want everything to look uniform and not the old 2nd edition models painted Blood Angels Red with Goblin Green bases together with my current style, hence the re-boot and the big pile of plastic I'm facing! This picture doesn't include another box of scouts, 20 old metal scouts and all the Blood Angel special characters and loads of normal characters. The forgeworld boxes contain; 2 Leviathan Dreadnoughts A Deredeo Dreadnought A Contemptor Dreadnought Sicaran Venator Mk v and a Mk vi squad I think I need help! Yes, pretty much that! I'm doing a tactical squad at the moment, then will do some scouts to break it up slightly, then after another tactical squad go for something a bit more exciting. Then back to a couple of squads of troops again. I'm doing the whole second company and pretty much all the 1st with bits of the 8th and 10th thrown in. For me, I hate painting backpacks, so I made sure I painted all 10 first before moving on to the next bits. Another driving force is just seeing squads finished! If you plan on playing some games in the meantime, I would start with the scouts, captain with JP, and devastators. Tacticals are more of a fluff than competitive choice currently. Also, keep an eye on our building/painting events for additional motivation. Like the RTS launched currently. OrbOfAntioch Posted October 18, 2018 Share Posted October 18, 2018 My BA has gotten a bit of the shaft this edition... too busy painting my filthy eldar...  in any case: -~50 odd pieces of magnetized wargear from combi flamers to WYSIWYG DC Bolters to Breacher SSs has been primed. Lost ALL motivation to actually paint them though - painting bits separately is so disheartening..  -"DC" Warlord Titan is airbrush basecoated/highlighted and cleaned up awaiting use of actual brushes - again - super daunting and easily distracted by building/painting pretty much anything else -Mastodon has been primed and some metallic paint has been slapped on with airbrush -3 Sicarans sitting in their original boxes Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Â I finally acquired an ultrasonic cleaner to clean them all and am going to get an airbrush to speed up the painting process. Â My friend called me insane, i can't actually disagree. Although I do build lists they aren't done to be comparative, I do it to make a fluffy list or to fit models into a fun list. I probably will start playing at my local GW when I get more painted, but at the moment it doesn't bother me that it may not be comparative. The hobby for me is the painting and modelling side of things. Â I will definitely take part in next year's ETL, I've got a few bits I'm going to hold off starting for that. As I'm sure is the same with some other people on here, work takes over too much of my time at points, so it's hard to stick to deadlines. happyslugger Posted December 10, 2018 Share Posted December 10, 2018 Cheers Majkhel  I decided to sell all my older style BA marines (DC, SG, DEVs and such) as I figured the future (whether we like it or not) is Primaris. So now I will slowly build these with the aim of adding more (or any Primaris DC/SG should they materialise) in the future.  I did the same when all the new death guard models came out and sold my older chaos death guard army, repurchased the new models and rebuilt.
