Trying to make a solid, yet fluffy Sons of Horus list using The Long March RoW.  Lets start with the list.

Right of War

The Long March.

HQs

[120] Legion Chaplain - Terminator Armour, Power Axe, Combi bolter

Troops

[555] 10 Justaerin Terminators - 3 Chain fists, 7 Power Axes, 5 Combi Melta, 5 Combi Plasma

[220] 10 Legion Veterans - Marksmen, 2 Heavy Flamers, 3 Combiflamers

[220] 10 Legion Veterans - Marksmen, 2 Heavy Flamers, 3 Combiflamers

[230] 10 Support Marines -  Volkite Chargers -  Rhino

[230] 10 Support Marines -  Volkite Chargers -  Rhino

Fast Attack

[1xx] Anvillus Dreadclaw

[1xx] Anvillus Dreadclaw

Heavy

[130] Legion Vindicator - Laser Destroyer

[130] Legion Vindicator - Laser Destroyer

[435] Leviathan Dreadnought - Grav Flux, Siege Drill, Volkite Calivers, Phosphex  - Dreadnought Drop Pod.

LoW

[5xx] Horus

Total - 2980

So Horus, the Justaerin and the Chaplain all form a mega star and deepstrike turn 2.

Vets go in the Dreadclaws.

Vets come in first and flamer anything juicy.  Volkites are back / midfield objective grabbers.

Turn 2 the Terminators drop and (hopefully) the Levi dread. On opposing flanks, the idea being I pincer the enemy force between a rock and a hardplace.

ect ect

Thoughts guys?

I have a few questions im hoping the SoH players can answer.

The Terminator blob. Too much? Its a 1200 point unit!.

Not making much use of the RoW. Not using relentless in my zone for example. Any thing you would change?

Would I be better running the Orbital Assault RoW? Swap the Vindis for some Javelins and Rhinos for Pods and its legal.

Thanks in advance guys.

If sticking with your current RoW I'd upgrade the TSS wpns to volkite Calivers - it gives you extra range and you get to make use of the SoH relentless rule (for charging) when in your own deployment zone. If possible I'd add CCW too.

To help pay for this I'd drop the combi flamers from the vet sqds.

Dropping a couple of Justearin would pay for the rest. With spare points I'd upgrade all of the justearin to at least powerfists so that you can Indra death other elite terminators/ characters and for a similar reason go with all combi melta- it also allows you to target heavy armour.

This would also help redistribute some of your points away from the Death Star so that your not quite so reliant upon it.

I'd drop the leviathan turn one - you need him earning his points back straight away. With a good deep strike he could be in combat by turn 2. He will also put pressure on your oponent straight away, making more of an impact that a 2nd vet sqd.

Otherwise you give the enemy - who might have their full army on the board a 'free turn' to destroy your TSS/ Vet sqds and vindi laser destroyers.
