Wow the apothecary butcher is soooo cool, great modelling idea, he truly looks scary. The carcharadon also looks good, though in my opinion the orc arms are too massive, but it doesn't shows as much because the centurion armour.

I don´t know if I recall correctly, but weren´t atramentar described as very ornamented and shiny in the Night Lords Omnibus?

I thought their armour was golden, too...

 

The Centurion thing looks good, but I don´t know if he really makes sense in the space marine lore... Did something went wrong with the geneseed with this guy?

Then, I discovered your Raven Guard and I was speechless

 

But NOW having with Carcharodons, Raven Guard AND Night Lords in one thread in such a beautiful way made me do this with every new post you've uploaded:

Thanks man ! For the carcharodons model I was looking for a more "savage" way to represent the assault centurion. I agree with you for the arms, but if it's weird with a closer look it looks quite nicely on a table .. Don't think I'll make more than three of theme for the fun.

I do prefer the apothecary personally ^^ Even if the painting is over-dated it look scarier than all my other models ^^

For the Atramantars they are indeed very ornamented and they wear a lot of bronze decoration on their armours.

The HH books give us another look though..

Have heard somewhere that this centurion and his mates share together a protein-stims box for body-sculpting training that they have found near the Warp engine of the Nicor .. Maybe they shouldn't ..

Thanks ! Yes for the night lords it's an ochre powder and for the carcharodons no powder just a textured paint with shades and dry brushing ;)

Just have a few work left on the hot cannon effect that's not really satisfying.

The sicarian looks awesome, though I would definitely paint the core of the heavy bolters in black. The command squad is also great, they way you paint your NL helmets is so cool. Finally the combat drone also looks very good, on what model is it based? The lightings on the wings makes it look awesome!

By the Emperor, those Carcharodon tanks and that combat drone! The free-hand details are just incredible. You also appear to really understand the character of the Night Lords.

Only thing I don´t like really is the painting of the banner. I generally don´t like tribal patterns that much and I don´t really see the link to the Night Lords tbh.

The combat drone is based on the 40k Dark angel flyer with some plasticard and kit bashing.

Thanks ;) I try to put an atmosphere on my night lords and like it's my first army some of theme kind of lack of it. But at least I get a little better with each new nostraman I put together (I hope ^^).

The drone count as a Lightning strike fighter or Xiphon interceptor. For the size it the same that the original Lightning ;)

(Actually the one in the centre of the command squad was my Sevatar conversion till the official shown up ^^)

Hi there !!

 

Double post for showing what I'm up to those days..

 

A little WIP of my 88th Company captain, Seynivarian N'kaal aka "the scaly-one".

 

Fluff :

Seynivarian was a Terran born Night lords from the VIII Legion.
Acceding the captain rank a few years before the legion was reunited with the Primarch, he was quickly known for being more a tactician than a murderer and get noticed for his skills in matter of unusual warfare.
He and his company get to be assigned along with the Alpha legion more often than all other captains and it get to influence Seynivarian way of war.
His taste for bringing confusion and anarchy even as fear before the killing blow was deliver earn him the nickname of "The scaly ones" within the legion.
His company " The Erinyes brotherhood" if one of the most disciplined (as much as a Night lords company could be) is also one of the more secretive and distrust among the VIII legion.

Only thing I don´t like really is the painting of the banner. I generally don´t like tribal patterns that much and I don´t really see the link to the Night Lords tbh.

Hmm, well I must confess that I maybe didn´t look that neatly on it. Didn´t get that these were meant to be Nostroman runes.

But the dragonskull has a tribal-ish look to me. Just a small part I don´t like that much.

I do like the new character though. He´s not my favourite, but I really like the knife and the zombie hand on his shoulder pad (it is a hand from the whfb  zombie-kit isn´t it?)

By the way: As you named yourself after the war sage, are there any plans for doing him as dreadnought or (pre-)heresy?

For the section I was wondering it two but my three armys are "in progress" with a lot more things to had. Just wanted to starts with the things that I've already done and go for the WIP part after. I Think that was better than made two threads in two section for the same things. And for the WIP you'll be serve ;). All that is coming for my Carcharodons is in progress just as my Raven guard (like the Sicaran I just finished. the Wip pictures are page 2 I think ^^) and for the night lords the last one is in progress two ^^.

No problem, that's cool ;).

For the zombie hand, yes it is, and for Malcharion you're definitely right and that's why you could find him at page 2 just under the Sicaran's WIP. He was part of my first bigger diorama (where Malcharion is on Terra, crushing 3 captains under his night boots) but I've decided to play him so he earn his own base :) .
