Augustus b'Raass Posted December 3, 2016 Share Posted December 3, 2016 Hi everyone - I've read somewhere that it is possible to put Space Marine crew in the Macharius Super Heavy vehicles and use them as LoW for your games. Beaky Brigade Posted December 4, 2016 Share Posted December 4, 2016 You can certainly take a Malcador with legion crew (which is a super heavy fast vehicle with no engine problems in 30k!), not sure about a Macharius, seems too low tech for the legions, and it would not have been called that in 30k anyway. It would have no options for a marine crew upgrade so you would be stuck with guardsman stats. That said if you painted it in your legion colours I can't see anyone complaining given it's not the most OP vehicle anyway. This thread may be helpful. As you can see FW's vague ruling that you can take LoW from other IA books IF there is no 30k equivalent already can in theory be abused to take Grey Knight thunderhawks, so use with caution! Noserenda Posted December 4, 2016 Share Posted December 4, 2016 In the newer 30k red books you can take Macharius variants as one of the additional Lord of War choices and as with all those options you can add a Space Marine crew.I was thinking of rejigging my Lupercal* Heavy battle tank idea again after watching BoW today :D*Cant imagine why they lost that design after the heresy...
