Maarten's no cutting baal pred magnetization.

After watching a whole bunch of tutorials on how to magnetize the Baal predator I was thoroughly dissapointed in how they all chopped the fins or the ejection ports off.

So here's my solution, requiring only 2  square magnets for an infinite amount of weapon options.

 

The little gap in the elevation parts of the turrets is wide enough to stick a 2.5mm thick magnet in sideways. Now due to how magnets work they also stick to each other's sides. The ones I used were about 6x4x2.5 and were fit with the long sides together. The only cutting required(okay I lied a little bit) is on the squares at the back of the weapons, but since those are totally invisible for the outside (and way too long to begin with) a little cutting isn't too bad.

 

Anyway, picture time!

Glue in one first, stick the other to it, then glue the cover to the second magnet.

Nope, normal predators have the hinge pin as a part of the weapon option.

Very similar to how I did mine, though your solution is more simple and efficient. Nice work! :)

 

Yes it's a shame about the standard Pred kit... I think it's long overdue a revamp, making it like the Baal Pred would be awesome. Along with a better and more easily magnetised turret setup it's far superior and more durable sponson design would be most welcome.

I'm gonna build some weapon options to represent the other options in the Legiones Astartes book. First up would be a special autocannon setup and a magnamelta. If they're easy enough to build I'll make a tut.
