The three Rubric Marine squads will all have different colors on their tabards

and yeah, I am regretting the red on Ahriman's robed legs.

It ain´t too bad, just abit highlights and shades and it´s quite wonderful like everything else here~~

The colors of the cloth on each model will also help with keeping track of sorcerers and their psychic powers.

Rubric Marines:

-Purple

-White

-Black

Scarab Occult:

-Purple

-White

-Black

The Exalted Sorcerers are easy because they all have different staff tops and helmets. So I can write on my quick sheet "Bird Head- Doombolt, Iron Arm, Life Leech" or "Gyro Staff" for example.

It is literally mephiston red in 3-4 very very thin layers and then the entire miniature was sprayed with modelmaster glosscoat.

Any creams/cloths I use are just varying mixes of brown and white worked up and faded with more white

Thanks for the advice, I've started painting him this evening I think I'm going to get a WIP started!

Also if you don't mind, I'm not sure how to paint the skin of his arms and hands how did you go about yours?!

More stuff and better [crappy cellphone] pics.. My intention with this army is to do my best on the helmet crests in order to make them really pop.

+1. This guy is the stand out model for me so far, and I also think it's the first non HH unhelmed TS I've ever seen....

Cheers,

Question, since you've handled the sorcerer kit and as noone in my area has been able to answer me : is it possible, based on available parts, to make 3 completely non-mutated models, such as the helmetless one you made (which by the way is absolutely awesome).

Technically not as-is because the 3rd body/torso set in the kit has talons for feet BUT thankfully if you paint them gold or silver you can just say that is how his armored feet are............ As for Arms there are really only 3 mutated arms in the kit and you dont have to use them at all.

My formula from start to finish for sorcerers and rubrics:

-Spray Retributor Armour

-Wash Glossy Agrax Earthshade

-Drybrush Titanium Gold (Tamiya paint)

-Thousand Sons blue

-Chrome for silver details including eyes, eyes on armor and weapons (Tamiya paint)

-Wash entire miniature with Glossy Nuln Oil, taking excess off with brush

-spot highlight with Titanium Gold (Tamiya Paint)

-spot highlight important areas like collars, shoulder pads and feet with a mix of Ahriman Blue and any White.

-Spray the heck out of it with a Glosscoat spray.
