"An Inquisitorial Henchmen Warband that includes an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor or Inquisitor Karamazov may also include an Adepta Sororitas Battle Sisters Squad".

I would assume it's merged with the Acolyte unit since the wording states "Inquisition Henchmen Warband", and literally everything else that can be added to the warband is required to be part of the one combined squad; also, "Inquisitorial Henchemen Warband" has the Inquisition symbol directly above it's heading; so technically everything in it would have that symbol as well in my interpretation of the rules, based out of page 205 in the Ebook version of AotI.

But either way, you could skip the sororatas and just use storm bolter acolytes for a similar effect. 9x 36" range rending storm bolters, 3 flamers, and 6 heavy flamers/las cannons/ extended range multi meltas.

Minimum Points Monkey Spam:

3 acolytes, 3 Storm shields,6 Jokaero, Inquisitor of choice with no upgrades.

292 points for 6 las cannons with 3 invulnerable saves. I think that's a pretty sweet deal myself. Of the choices of inquisitor I think the Hereticus would be best; give them the Psyocculum upgrade to let your space monkeys shoot Eldar at BS10.

Robofish,

I wrote a lengthy reply where I eventually came to the conclusion that you are correct RAW, but argued that RAI was to have everything in one big unit. It got deleted somehow.

Ah, ok, sorry about that.  It must have gotten deleted before I replied, as I didn't see it.  I don't necessarily agree with your interpretation, since in previous codices henchmen and their chamber militant have been separate units.  But who knows, the deathwatch codex and it's FAQ shows us that no one really knows what GW is thinking.

It's conceivable that GW intended the Chamber Militant units to be incorporated with the Acolyte unit, however, the only "evidence" I can produce is that they seem to get very few benefits otherwise, compared to what they get from their other detachments in C:IA.

GKTs: lose potential first turn deepstrike; gain Ob Sec if included with Coteaz

Battle Sisters: you can field a single squad, if that's all you have.

Deathwatch: lose Aquila Tactics, gain...?

Therefore, as I say, it's conceivable that GW had something more in mind for them that didn't make it into the rules as written, but I don't think I could argue it any further.

Edit: Not sure actually how much benefit merging the Chamber Militant and Acolyte units would actually have. The Jokaeros are the only models that provide unit-wide buffs that aren't also available as Independent Characters. Crusaders or Acolytes with storm-shields would provide some tanking. Otherwise, most of the other specialists are there for melee purposes but would quickly make the unit too big for any transports. Mystics would only benefit the Grey Knights directly - and then only as a separate units. (Mind you, if a merged Ordo Malleus Warband was allowed to deep-strike...)

So, merged units would allow for some Jokaero-enhanced shooting builds that would benefit Sisters and Deathwatch (extended range rending special issue ammunition?) but would probably hobble Grey Knights and melee-oriented warbands.
