The Wolves are coming... Legion VI - Vlka Fenryka by Adam

Ok, so the shading of the grey plates (with the exception of the most darkest recesses) is done, and I'm quite satisfied that I went with the darker grey tone. Next is the pre-waethering of the grey plates, and then the black and red colors.

Your work looks fantastic. Did you use the VF troop recipe above on the rhino too? How did you achieve the pre-weathered look on the rhino? Edited by Warpsbane

Thanks for the comment!

What is VF? The colour recipe is the same, but the aplliance is totally different.

The preshading is basically stippling the plates with sponge with your middle highlight colour (administratum grey in this case), and the painting everything 'ardcoat, thus sealing the plates before stippling damage and applying weathring powders. If you forget about the 'ardcoat, the white spirit, used to seal the powders, mights dissolve washes and destroy the earlier effect.

Huh, I haven't been around for a while, and it seems a severe amount of posts has been deleted. Forum got crashed or something?

Anyway, I have been busy in life (lot of work, moving to new home), I haven't posted anything for a while, but it didn't mean I wasn't painting at all! In the meantime I finished another Grey Slayers unit and a Deimos Predator tank. Here are the pics:

Hey guys!

Here you can see one rhino before entering service, fresh out of the assembly line, and another battle-hardened one, retrieved from the front-line for some much needed maintanance. Lets see if the new one gets to see some similar battlefield action as the older one.

It took me some time, but I finally finished the next 5 members of the Assault Squad (I assembled a deimos predator and almost assembled a Land Raider Proteus in the meantime, so yea http://content.invisioncic.com/f237179/emoticons/default_wink.png ):
