After recieving a squad of Infantry Firing from the Krieg range

I've decided to rebuild my Death Korps of Krieg force!

This time I intend on seeing the project through.

I have gone with black and khaki scheme.

I will build it using the Deathrider Combined Arms Detachment from

Siege of Vraks book.

Here's the first of what will be many!

This force will grow at a glacial pace but I should be able to add something new each month.

Welcome back Jud, unfortunately this means you have a few bit of latrine duty to catch up on ;) Colours look good, fitting for a Krieg army - looking forward to seeing more :D

Isinfier, I know! they feature heavily in the fluff but sadly no models as yet.

 

Akrim, It'll take me about 3 years to build a playable force, but as they say

building a guard army is a marathon not a sprint!

 

LionofJudah, the Krieg line is probably my favourite range, it's good to be back!

The V Siege Regiment are back from extended latrine digging duties and have 2 new recruits!

Had a bit of time so managed to finished Guardsmen J21 and J22.

Which is quite difficult for Krieg given their fatalistic nature!

Ha, I understand. I find if you have a decent range hood light over the stove. You can set them up on a chopping board and tea towel or paper and make use of that

Managed another 2 Guardsmen.

Now the question, what shall I get next?

I'm going to order the Siege of Vraks book so I was wondering what to get with it?

I like the look of the Macharius Vanquisher but not sure.

OK, I was working on the last 5 Infantrymen for my first squad,

then my order arrived from Forge World!

I've been sat on some bitz to make my Colonel so couldn't resist

working on something new and shiny (or grubby and worn!)

I wanted him to look a bit more imposing than your average

Deathrider so he's been tarted up a bit and I used a larger base.

This gave more scope to add some trench character to him.

So Marius Konstantin has been reborn!

Finished my first infantry squad!

Progress has been slow of late, feels good to finally

have some hobby time.

I'm reasonably happy with the colour scheme and will

carry this scheme forward.

Great work, very gritty and muted just how Kriegers should be :D The bases complement them perfectly - now you just need to add more ;)

Oh I will!!!

Next up will be my Bombard, I haven't weathered a tank in years!

(my Ultramarines were proper shiny!) Will be a good practice of

technique before I hit the Macharius Vanquisher!

I haven't had too many problems with them,

that said you do get the occasional droopy barrel on guns etc, but if you put them

in a little warm water they cn be reshaped. Go for it, they do do some awesome stuff!

It's been a while but I've finished a couple of models!

Below is my Regimental Standard and my Macharius Vanquisher.]

 

I've been using Flickr to post pictures but it has been a pain in the ass of late.

If anyone can suggest an easier way of uploading pics please let me know.

Again beautiful work. The weathering is outstanding! Threads like this are such an inspiration to try and achieve more.

For picture uploads I use photobucket and find it fairly easy. You have to make an account first but other than that its not too difficult at all. After you have uploaded pictures you can resize on the site and it also provides the correct image code links to copy and paste straight into forums like here.

I use the B&C one. Pretty straight forward and always work.

Admittedly having to resize less than 2mb is a minor inconvenience but nothing major!
