@ Captian Semper For the All Father For the Wolf King For Fenris smile.png

please add my stretch goals as well

Done! :)

So we already have two Centurions - one Loyalist and one Traitor! It is still early days, but I would like to see the Traitors' numbers swelling as right now they are literally half of the Loyalists... So let's see the followers of Horus (or worse) show their faces!

UPDATED TO THIS POINT!

Alright, I'll throw my hat into the ring. I just decided to expand my existing 40K Imperial Fists into 30K, so I can use the units I will paint in both games. I do not have an army list yet, I just paint the FW models I like and think are fluffy for my collection. My Imperial Fists are based on the The Beast Arises series, and I'm writing backgrounds for it based on the 32K fluff. As such, they´re definitely Imperials. However, I have a reputation to uphold as a Chaos fanatic, and we all know that Chaos will prevail. The last ETLs have shown this, and recent releases by GW support this claim too. tongue.pngmsn-wink.gif The Moral High Ground of the event should go to the side with the actual moral high ground, which I find to be the Traitors. Plus, I always root for the underdog - and seeing as there are currently twice as many Loyalists as Traitors in this event, my vow will go as follows:

I, Augustus b'Raass, vow on the honour of the True Architects of the Great Crusade (called 'Traitors' by misguided fools who deny the Truth of the Primordial Annihilator) and the Divine Unification of Humanity, to paint one Typhon Heavy Siege Tank and two Legion Drop Pods - all in the colours of the Imperial Fists - before April 15th of this year. Failure will put shame on me in the eyes of my brothers.

And here´s my WiP pic: a ready-for-paint Typhon and two pliofilm-wrapped drop pods. smile.png

Nice to see you on board Augustus b'Raass. If nothing else traitor Fists makes me smile.

Managed to garner some time tonight to paint up the second Rhino. It's not terribly exciting, but at least it's done.

Down to 2 units to go now and I'm getting fairly close to having all the Iron Warriors I currently own done, which is pretty snazzy!

I've never claimed to be a particularly fast painter, so here's the product of tonight's painting session. It's not much, but it's something, and painted to a degree where it won't need more work. It's more a warm-up than anything else, to get back into the swing of painting models and to see if I was happy with the gold (I am.)

Question: I'm a slow painter, and started to paint 5 Cataphractii and 5 Breacher.

If I pledge a Contemptor and a 10 Men Tactical squad as well, could I participate?

Well, the event is about pledging at least 3 tabletop-legal units, which I believe the 5 Breachers are not. But the 5 Termies, the Contemptor and the 10-strong Tact Squad are, so here you have the minimum 3 units! :)

Provided of course the 5 Cataphractii that you have started on are in early stages... ;)

Week One Update:

Things are going much slower than I had anticipated. I started a new job and have been pulling a ton of OT, so little time for painting. I did get the red done on Vindicator #1... it was a challenge. I've never used my scheme on something so big, and it I'm not sure I'm satisfied with the results. I'll cover up some of it with transfers, but painting extremely thinned down layers of Blood for the Blood God on such sheer angles did not make for a good time. I've also begun work on the Breachers, but I may hold off on them until I've completed the Vindi.

Xanthias you stop it, stop it right now! msn-wink.gif

Jesus, do you paint all night or something?

Hahah! Somewhat. In the last month and a half I've basically tried to commit to painting an hour or two nearly every night after work, and painting for much of my days off. I don't particularly sleep much, so sometimes just keep going if not much is left to do.

Been plugging away as best I can and got a whole lot of work done on Perturabo.

Epaulettes, Forgebreaker, cloth, wires and lenses left to paint for the most part, as well as an edge highlight on some of the armour for added definition. Also the jagged part of the guns before the barrels - anyone know what that's called?

Should get him finished later today which will be nice, getting there!
