My Delegatus is now complete. I managed to get him almost fully painted in one day, and am very pleased with how he's turned out.

I'm especially pleased with the right shoulder. It's been quite a long time since I really tried to blend colours, normally I just stick with simple highlights.

And with that, my full pledge is now complete. I have a few projects I'm working on at the moment so I might make another pledge, but we'll see.

They look great, Lion! If I may be so bold: I think it'd look even better if you apply the transfers before weathering. Not only with the powders, but also (and perhaps especially) before the sponge weathering and the rust/grease streaks you applied. The weathering you did looks amazing, but the iconography is still ultra crisp - which at least to me harms the suspension of disbelieve in the reality of the miniature. I feel like it'd be far more realistic if those rust streaks cover some of the white, and the mud splashes applied through the sponging also dirties up the symbols. :tu:

That's what I'm talking about!! Funnily enough Auggy I did have the transfers on first... I just didn't want to go over them in case I screwed them up;). I've gone back and gone back over them with the weathering powder and that and going back with a rust wash and streaking grime after your feedback totally helps out!!

I've been working on weathering my leviathan - as a combat monster it has a fair amount of heavy weathering thus far.

Will hopefully get a pic or 2 of all up this eve:)

Also- washed all kinds of resin(2 thudd guns/ sm vehicle crew/ cat PM/ Herald/ and a blood and skulls deimos(ish) rhino kit... and a old school FW mine plow that i scored on the bay.)

Found another collection of bits in my shed this afternoon and am stoked with all the old school bits in there:):)

Well here are a few WIPs of the upcoming Thousand Sons! I've had issues getting the photo's uploaded, so the progresses is a little further along. I've re-done my previous efforts at the son's as they red wasn't quite vibrant enough for my liking/it'd got a little tarnished and it was a little too orangy!

I forgot to take the pics pre-red layers of these testers unfortunately!! I am planning on doing a squad of MkIv and MKIIIs respectively, so theres more chance for pics......

I am planning to convert them all, so they look a little bit special!!

This should add a little interest....

I did however remember to do it with the Sekhmet! I've also stripped the test model I posted in my pledge thread, as again I wasn't overly happy with the red! The schemes all about the pre shading of metallics, I just need to be patient and not over do the red!!

All five ready to go

Just a few photos of my recent progress!

I've got everything built:

I've sprayed everything:

http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/LoyaltyTreacheryWIP3_zpsst9sbxi2.jpg

From there, a quick progress photo: I've now sprayed the Vulturax and Venators with Leadbelcher, and will hopefully start blocking colours on them soon. The Thralls have got their main base colour (yellow!) on, and I've done each of their left arms in a flesh tone, as well as the underlayer for the base. I'm now working through getting the metals done on all of them as part of a batch, so hopefully I can move those forward relatively quickly.

Great to see everyone else progressing their vows too!

Aw, man: Once again, this event brings out some of the biggest talent this forum has to offer. Excellent stuff all around, ladies and gents! :)

Even so, I still feel the traitors need a bit of a leg-up ;) So here's a look at the second model from my pledge, a World Eaters Tech-Marine, hopefully soon to be completed:

Okay, everyone: After a short break, it's time for a new update. Here's a sneak peek at my mostly finished 30k World Eaters Tech-Marine, the second of two models I have vowed for the Loyalty and Treachery event:

As always, let me know what you think! :)

Quick update before work swallows me for the next four days. I completed the GS work on the last four grenadier torsos, the Sergeant's bionic leg, and started putting together the Leman Russ.

hey all - i've enjoyed reading about everyone's progress, and admit to taking some some delight <ahem> ..interest i mean, interest, in the vow churn/attrition of my fellow hobbyists whistling.gif

i've been quite, lurking even, because of self imposed modelling incarceration to bring that next vow up to readiness...

Looks great. What have you done with the tracks, they look different from other Spartans I have seen?

Best regards,

G
