How could a (DW) Librarian/Chaplain be a bit "rebellious"?

I seem to have, inadvertently, turned my Deathwatch Watch Fortress into the "slightly rebellious" Watch Fortress.  My Watch Master chooses to use a sword instead of a Guardian Spear, my Watch Captain has the same name as the Primarch of his original Chapter's mortal enemy, and my Ordo Xenos Inquisitor, whilst mostly Puritan, has a rather roguish streak that borders on Radicalism.  In fact, I've turned the Watch Fortress into something "slightly Radical" overall, as I've written it to be a research facility that looks into using alien technology against aliens (such as things like the Xenophase Blade), originally done by pro-xenos Adeptus Mechanicus.

I'm fleshing out my army, both in terms of background and in models, and I've decided that I want to continue this theme by writing about a "slightly rebellious" Librarian as well as a Chaplain, but I'm unsure how I can pull this off.  I'm not looking for anything completely Chaotical or heretical, but more something that goes slightly against what you would expect from a "Puritan" Deathwatch Librarian and Chaplain respectively.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how I could go about this?  If the Librarian's/Chaplain's Chapter were an important part of it, I'd rather that they came from non-First Founding Chapters (as I've got quite a few members from those Chapters in the Watch Company already and I'd prefer to diversify my selection) though I can include the First Founding if it's a good suggestion.

A Chapter that values independent action, whose Chapter Master and Captains encourage lower-ranking Marines to "seize the initiative" and gain an advantage (or put enemies at a disadvantage), may tolerate thoughts and behavior another Chapter will view as "rebellious."

Careful writing is necessary to pull this off. The Imperium is intolerant of dissenting voices, and if your "slightly rebellious" Deathwatch Marines fail to demonstrate restraint before high-ranking officers (including INQUISITORS), or their value on the battlefield (i.e., KILL XENOS), then they will be purged- with good reason.

In short, do NOT take inspiration from any American films, TV shows, comic books published within the last 27 years.

Well some thoughts would be:

Blood Ravens- Known to have a lot of librarians, and they do have a 'Ravenish' attitude to artifacts.

The Death Spectres - have a singular mission that may make a Chaplain more open to a 'Needs must' attitude and by the same virtue a member of the Marines Malevolent would also work.

Sounds cool.

The Exorcists and the Relictors could both be rather interesting for unorthodox chapters with members in the Deathwatch, but you would have to be careful of not letting their secrets be known, and be aware that the Relictors are now considered renegade, so Relictors seconded to the DW may (should) come under some scrutiny about their loyalty.

Be aware that these may not be considered very original for the Deathwatch, especially "radical" Deathwatch fortresses - I haven't done much research into the Deathwatch but those would probably be of interest to me I must admit.

Consider also that you may not want to focus exclusively on the "present" of the 40k setting, nor on the era of their foundation - I think that most Deathwatch fortresses will have several Astartes generations in length, so focussing on a single era of existence of a Deathwatch fortress would be a bit weird :)

I mean, unless it has been retconned, Gauntlets of Ultramar (Papa Smurf's big hands) come from Chaos Champion Roboute slapped to death and Logan Grimnar's axe is from an another chaos champion.  Admittedly, said weapons have been sanctified but there's two first founding chapters that are using 'heretical' weapons in canon for you. And you don't even need to get slightly rebellious, as Ultramarines and Space Wolf's are both devout defenders of humanity. Just slap purity seals on any alien looking tech and no fluff-purists should have issues with you. :P
