Help with 2500 Night Lords list

So I've recently been drawn to the Night Lords. Initially it was because I wanted to run a Primarch and Curze seems like one of the most usable in that he can get stuck in fast without blowing 400 points on a Spartan. But as I read more about Konrad and the legion I really like them.

I initially thought Terror Assault because cool, but it has a lot of redundancy with Curze himself. So I've shifted to a Primarch's Chosen/Pride of the Legion list. I think I have a decent base but not sure how to finish off the list. Here's what I have so far

HQ/LoW

Konrad Curze - haunting nights since M31

Troops

10 Assault Squad - Artificer Armor, Power Fist, combat shield - bodyguard for Curze

5 Cataphractii - Transponder, 4x combi-plas, plasma blaster, 2x chainfist - drop in, plasma something, be a menace

2x 10 Veterans - Rhino, artificer armor, power fist - mobile scoring

Elites

Contemptor Cortus - dccw, chainfist, 2x graviton gun - rides in the dreadclaw, wrecks a tank

Fast Attack

Anvillus Dreadclaw Drop Pod

Heavy Support

Deredeo - Aiolos - anti-air and light tank

Scorpius - generally awesome

Venator - ranged anti-tank

That's about 2150. I'm not quite sure how to finish it off. Some ideas

Damocles - 3 reserve units and 2 deep strikers so it can add some utility

Apothecary/Primus Medicae - I want one of them with Curze not sure the best way to do it

Contemptor Mortis with Kheres - more dakka, etc

Shatter Rapiers - a generally awesome unit but doesn't really fit thematically with the list

I'm open to any and all comments, criticisms, ideas

Thanks

You could take a jp apothecary, the mortis and the damocles all barebones at a very tight squeeze.

Though really unless your opponent has a Typhon, I don't see the need to put Curze and Co. In the dreadclaw, T1 night fight plus battlefield cover should have them protected for the T2 charge unless you went second and your opponent moved something forward he shouldn't have.

Be cautious though for 35 bodies in a 2.5k doesn't seem like a lot to me.

Yeah, I would swap the Dreadclaw for a Dreadnought Drop Pod.

But your biggest problem (for both "Primarch's Chosen" AND "Pride of the Legion") is that you must have more units with Legiones Astartes than units without it. You're 4:8 at the moment. :/

Why no love for the cortus in a claw? Drop in, don't disembark, zoom, jink. Whether the claw survives or not the dread likely gets a turn 2 grav double tap and chain charge which should be enough to down even a spartan.

Good point about the LA. I totally ignored that. Back to the drawing board.

I don't like Cortus contemptors in any sort of pod, because it practically doubles their cost.

Just outflank them, or take a talon and run. With their special rules, they can cover a surprising amount of ground very very quickly. Even with just a 7" move + 18" guns, you're reaching 1" into their deployment zone on turn 1, while they have to shoot vs. your AV13/5++.

Don't forget to add chainglaives for legion flavour!

Also what are you vets tactics? Best to have another run at the list. There is a decent NL list on the radio free istvaan podcast latest episode (number 38). It's a terror assault list and seems pretty solid. I'd say it's a good place to start for some ideas.

Good luck
