Difference in size of terminator vs normal marine hands

I am converting up a bunch of power lances for bikes and jump troops. I was thinking of saving myself some time by using grey knights halberd shafts as the base. The good hands are all on paladins however, which are terminators.

Has anyone put terminator hands on regular marines? Do they look horribly too large?

Please keep in mind that I am only using the hands, not the weapons.

Thanks

TDA and PA hands are actually pretty close in size, although it depends on how "new" the PA models are (newer kits are generally slightly bigger than the older ones, so the difference is even less still).

The bigger difference is in the wrist and forearms, but trimming just after the heel of the hand takes care of this (and in some cases, like the GK Termies, that's where the parts are separated anyway).

If all else fails, just use some brass tube through the PA hand, and add the desired weapon head on the end with a pin. Drilling plastic is dead easy anyway! ;)

Thank you so much for your responses. I have done something very similar to this using hands holding falchions and used the blades for lance heads. This is fine as the hands even come in left and right varieties. They don't, however, come in an angled forward or backward variety for more dynamic poses. I am going to grab the paladin halberds and use them for a thrusting arm and try to convert one of the two handed grips into a downward thrusting arm for vanguard vets.

Again, thank you so much for your responses!

They do, but you have to consider that you will need to bits-order them.

The best arms/hands for this are the various sergeant chainsword and power weapon arms in the Tactical, Assault, and Devastator kits. The Space Marine Commander kit has a couple too, including a bionic arm. Another great source of arms is the Dark Angel Ravenwing Upgrade sprue - most bits sites have loads of the sword arms, and these are in a great thrusting pose (there is also another thrusting powersword in the Space Wolves upgrade kit, which only has wolfy-looking things on the weapon itself, and would therefore be removed in your conversion). :)

I personally find the difference between power armour and terminator armour hands to be quite noticeable, at least the Grey Knight terminator hands. I have used them on power armoured marines before and I personally felt the stuck out quite noticeably compared to the power armoured hands. Perhaps if you put the terminator hands on both arms it might help though? So one hand isn't noticeably bigger than the other.
