Could a similar method be used with regular death guard troops etc? It seems like a fairly simple way of going about it. I'm not a very good painter and I'm struggling to find a good method to do all my regular death guard marines with. Issue is half of mine are sprayed black already.

Yes, I think I say it in my video, but this is the exact same method I do for troops and vehicles. Here's an example of some Tactical Support Marines and a Javelin.
