Not 100% sure, but I think Dark Angles can have terminators as troops

Possibly Wolves. Dark Angels have the Deathwing Strike force but according to the FAQ it's not supposed to be used alone and therefore can cause you to auto lose (at least that's my understanding)

Using the SM codex you would need to go unbound (possibly with 1st company and strike force ultra formations

Only if you go unbound or use formations exclusively.

Greyknights would allow you to do it. And of course any army would let you do it if you go Unbound.

We can... not really. Courtesy of some bad rules a Deathwing formation will auto-lose the game by having no models on the board at the start. The Terminators themselves kinda suck too. Grey Knights work a lot better.

I found the Armored Spearhead reflects the old mechanized Deathwing. A Land Raider Spearhead, supported by a couple of Vindicators, carrying a mix of assault and shooty Terminators, and a couple of Dreadnoughts fit into 1850pts.

If you don't mind using solely formations, no CAD, then Codex: Space Marines allows you to do it, as there are two formations that can be made up exclusively of Terminators.  Additionally, there is a third formation which is Terminators+Vehicles, but is very specific and restrictive in choices.

First Company Task Force: 3-5 squads of Terminators (and/or Sternguard/Vanguard)
Librarius Conclave: 3-5 Librarians (which can all be equipped with Terminator Armor)

Strike Force Ultra: Terminator Captain, 2 shooty Terminator Squads, 2 Assault Terminator Squads, 1 Venerable Dread, 1 Stormraven, 1 Land Raider Crusader/Redeemer.

I prefer to think that bolt weapons do, in fact, use cased ammunition - mostly for the reasons you state. It looks cool. They jingle when they hit hard ground. It's like the Emperor's wind chimes.

How do you auto lose?  I don't know the Deathwing rules but wouldn't it be the same as a drop pod army?

Remember, unbound is how we all played the game for, literally, decades.

How did we all play unbound for decades?  I've been playing since 3rd edition and there has always been a force organization chart.  I know apocalypse was bring everything including the kitchen sink, but regular 40k was always FOC.

I don't know about you, but most of my really friendly games are just using fun/random/whatever's-closest units that roughly fit in the points limit. As long as we have fun, I don't pay too much heed to the FoC.

Pardon me.

Relative to the formation structures we seem to be focused on, "unbound" is how the game was played.

SFC can only be taken as part of a Gladius. It is not an individual formation

Strike Force Command isn't a formation on it's own, it's just a Command choice in a Gladius.

So to include both of those things you would need to take a Gladius, which would mean having to take a Core choice.

You could however do an unbound army of 1st Company Taskforce + whatever HQ you fancy as an all terminator army.

Doesn't have to be Unbound - could just be 1st Company Taskforce(s) with a Terminator Sergeant as the Warlord, or 1st Company Taskforce(s) with a LibCon (entirely equipped with TDA).

Both are legal ways to make a Battle-Forged army from C:SM that consists entirely of Terminators.

Ah yeah true. Not that battle-forged V unbound matters much if you entirely use formations anyway.

Hmm, 1st company with a conclave actually sounds like kind of a fun list.  It wouldn't be entirely terminators, but maybe add a 10th company task force to get some objective campers and locator beacons.  I may have to try this...
