A tip of sorts

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! Just a quick tip, recently I've made a rtv silicon moulds to copy a few bases in resin(Always for my personal use). But even more recently I've found out that the best way to reuse the plastic sprues is to melt them with mek and pour the plastic into the mould, after half a day I can demould them and I have new based that can be used in one or two days.

Intriguing. How do you melt the plastic down without burning it? I'm thinking if I can manage to do that, I might not have to buy as much resin.

Also, how do you put the plastic in the mould? A simple pour, or via injection?
