MalliusCorbin Posted March 15, 2017 Share Posted March 15, 2017 Brothers, I'm very much a fan of the DA slide transfer sheets that were until recently available through GW's webstore. I was enough of a fan to pick up 4 of them (yes, to me they were worth the $20 per sheet they were going for at the time), as I wanted to make sure that my troops did not suffer for decoration as my painting skills are pretty meager. Well, I found something of a shocking discovery this past winter... It appears that the cab of my pickup truck had a hitherto unknown leak, and my stash of sheets was soaked and ruined. Would any of you know a way to salvage my poor abused transfer sheets, or barring that, would any of you know where I might lay my hands on some replacements? Unfortunately the sheets are no longer available through the GW web store and it doesn't sound like they're planning on re-issuing them. I regularly check eBay, but I haven't found any out there yet. Itsacon Posted March 15, 2017 Share Posted March 15, 2017 How exactly are they ruined? Are the printings themselves damaged, or is the backing paper discoloured/malformed? Since these things are designed to be soaked in water, just getting soaked might not necessarily ruin them. MalliusCorbin Posted March 23, 2017 Author Share Posted March 23, 2017 Imagine if you will, they were tucked into a folder in the back seat of my truck, the transfer sheets not only stuck to the envelopes they were in, but there now appears to be mildew on some of the sheets... I'm going to try one and see if it is still workable, but my hopes are not high, and I honestly want a few more of the sheets anyway, as there are some fantastic bits on there (like the text for the inside of the book for the front of Sabelclaw). I have the much less elaborate ones which added extra deathwing slides.
