Neat idea and I probably will participate. I feel as though SW are limited in their options as I highlighted in Red and then gave suggestions in Blue.

I been toying with my idea of a Lost Company, just need to finally write it down. Though would like a little clarification if that's okay.

SUMMARY

GENE-SEED (PREDECESSOR): First Founding or a Successor (can be another DIY Chapter) Leman Russ is our only option, we have no second foundings. Can we use Lost Companies?

 FOUNDING: 3rd through 26th or Unknown N/A

CHAPTER MASTER: Current Leader of the Chapter Wolf Lord: Current Leader of the Company

CHAPTER WORLD: If not Fleet based. Fenris is our only option.

FORTRESS MONASTERY: OPTIONAL - Is the Fortress known by any special name The Aett is our only option

 FLAGSHIP: If Fleet based

MAIN COLOURS: What are the colors of the Chapter? Since SW are one chapter, can we use our Companies emblems colors instead?

SPECIALITY: OPTIONAL - Do they excel in a certain type of combat?

 BATTLE CRY:

CURRENT STRENGTH: Typically, it will be 1000 Battle Brothers unless they have suffered losses in a recent campaign.

KNOWN DESCENDANTS: Are they mentors or a predecessor to another chapter? N/A

ALLEGIANCE: OPTIONAL - Primarily used if they have turned from the Primarch or the Emperor. N/A we are loyal to The Lord of Winter and War, and the Allfather only.

ORIGIN OF THE CHAPTER:

What made that Chapter come into being; Are they a Successor of a Successor? If there is a reason the Chapter Colors were chosen, it may be included in this section.

May use the origin of Lost Companies if we use Lost Companies? If not then this is N/A since the Great Companies all have established lore.

CHAPTER HOME WORLD/FLEET:

Description of the home world or fleet that the chapter considers to be home. Fenris is only option

PRESENT ACTIVITIES:

Narrative about the Chapter at the dawn of the 41st Millennium Going to be the same for all SW's, unless they are a Lost Company that hasn't returned home. Though most Lost Companies do return but aren't Great Companies and are less noted, though I could be wrong

COMBAT DOCTRINE:

How do they fight? Special Formations (Like the Vanguard Veterans)? Armor Heavy? Air Assault? Night Fighters? Intolerances on Aversions?

ROLL OF HONOR:

- Battle

Description

Short descriptions of famous battles and outcomes in chapter history. Try to provide at least three different battles.

CHAPTER ORGANIZATION:

Are they Codex Adherent? If they are not Codex Adherent, do they have any special organizations? Are the Reserve Companies organized like Battle Companies? What about the Specialists? This section will probably contain the SM Painter images of the different armor paint schemes of the various companies and specialists.

FLEET ASSETS:

Description of the chapter’s fleet strength and vessel names. IIRC Grimnar controls all the fleet but some Companies have a dedicated transport Battle Barge.

BELIEFS:

Unique beliefs and practices.

RECRUITMENT:

How neophytes are recruited and trained. Same for all SW's. Fenrisians that showed great courage or have fallen honorably in combat. The the Cup of the Wulfen and Trial of Morkai.

LOCAL RITUALS:

Any rituals in their home world/base. Probably going to be the same for most SW's.

All of your suggestions are valid and workable. I left it generic enough for someone to attempt another Wolf Brothers successor chapter or a Dark/Cursed Founding using Spliced geneseed or other shenanigans, but for the Wolves a Great Company of old would probably be the best option. I'll incorporate your suggestions as I work out the kinks with the links.

Oath:
I, Svaar Caldersson, Wolf Lord of the "Blood of Fenris" company, in the name of LEMAN RUSS Lord of Winter and War, make this oath of moment to submit a complete history of my LOST COMPANY and its honored brothers.

STATUS:
Awaiting Judgement, Words 2381/2000 (Excluding the Imperial Knight House)

▪ GENE-SEED: Leman Russ
▪ FOUNDING: Lost Company missing since 38M.
▪ LOST COMPANY MASTER: Svaar Caldersson, Lord of the Cold
▪ CHAPTER WORLD: Fenris
▪ FORTRESS MONASTERY: The Aett
▪ FLAGSHIP: Haugbúi Haf-Víl, a Mars Class Battle Cruiser
▪ MAIN COLOURS: Armor has been painted grey to match the Heresy era armor found aboard the ship. Emblem is a black background with a blood red wolf
▪ SPECIALITY: Outflanking and Rapid Assault with long range support
▪ BATTLE CRY: "His Blood is our Blood"
▪ CURRENT STRENGTH: 53 Marines, 1 Wolf Priest, 1 Leviathan Dreadnought, 1 oath-sworn Imperial Knight, a single squat, alongside a light ship crew of humans lead by the Imperial Knights sister.
▪ KNOWN HERITAGE: Formed the survivors of "Baereks Fury" Company.
▪ ALLEGIANCE: Sworn to Leman Russ and the Allfather

ORIGIN OF THE CHAPTER:
A Space Hulk was found in the twisted scraps of ships was a Mars Class Battlecruiser from the Heresy era. It had belonged to the Space Wolves, the Adeptus Mechanicus had given the responsibility to reclaim the ship to the Space Wolves in exchange for any research aboard. Baerak was given the responsibility to recover the ship. Baerek was eccentric and was famed for collecting various people and items. This had pushed some Wolf Lord to their tolerances when he had brought a small group of squats to Fenris and had them taught by the Iron Priests, and then used them as an auxiliary unit to his Iron Priests. None could argue with the results; his equipment and ship ran nearly flawlessly. He had also saved a noble Imperial Knight House from planetary over run of Orks who swore oaths to him and the SWs. Despite his performance, the largest opposition to his ways was one of his own Wolf Guard, Svaar Caldersson. Upon boarding the Space Hulk, they quickly took ground but outran their slower Long Fangs and Terminators. Reaching a vast opening Caldersson counseled his Lord to wait for support. Baeraks stubbornness had caused him to call Caldersson a coward and he would deal with him when he got back. He left a pack of Grey Hunters with Caldersson and charged into the opening. He would not return. Caldersson held the narrow opening until support arrived. Using tactics from the Codex he held the narrow opening and had a stormwolf arrive from behind pinning the Tyrannids ending them. Baerek and his accompanying wolves were slain, except one Wolf Guard whom was sent back to the Battle Barge for recovery. Caldersson now lead the rest to the ancient ship, while the Iron Priests, Rune Priests and Squats figured a way to open the mechanical and rune closed doors. There was a calm, Caldersson ordered a small crew including the captain to come to man the Battle Cruiser. There was a sudden shock through the Space Hulk, shrieks and chitterlings could be heard throughout the entire Space Hulk urging the Iron Priests to open the doors quickly. Eventually the first signs of Tyrannids appeared, but different. They were an olive color with green highlights and brown markings. They spat acid that burnt through the armor of the wolves, even hitting Caldersson rendering his armor useless. Eventually the doors opened as the Iron Priests, Squats, and Rune Priests ran to the front shooting off helfrost and psyker powers. First the humans, then the wolves, finally No-Tongue with a wounded Squat in tow, as an Iron Priest shut the doors on them the sounds of battle sounded outside as the Priests and Squats made their final stand. The Battle Barge transmitted they were stuck and the Space Hulk was about to jump. The Order was given to load the Stormwolf, abandoning the battle barge and prepare a remote detonation to scuttle it and destroy the Space Hulk. They crew restored power to ship, while the squat was tasked to make an opening in a storage area for the Imperial Knight, to the Captains relief. The Battle Cruiser was still stuck as the Space Hulk jumped, though the Gellar Fields were online. Once the Space Hulk jumped they could free themselves and detonate the Battle Barge breaking apart the Space Hulk. The ship plotted a course to return to the material realm. Caldersson learned that the unusual characters Baerek had recruited were the biggest assets to the company finding himself thankful of them. During this time Caldersson is named Wolf Lord in a very unusual way never heard of before. With no Wolf Guard, it was decided by the highest ranking; No-Tongue the Wolf Priest, Gahir Boltworker the Squat acting for the Iron Priests, and Sigrid acting as a leader on behalf of the Wolf Guard. "Baerek's Fury" Company renamed "Blood of Fenris" Lost Company, after an ancient Predator found aboard. The wounded Wolf Guard is now entombed into a Leviathan Dreadnought found aboard. The Squat repairs numerous MK III and MK IV armors and even a relic armor given to the Wolf Lord. Finally plans began to make the Imperial Knights new-found home permanent, using teleportation to come in and out. The Lost Company would recover in time, but they had to be careful not to be irrational.

CHAPTER HOME WORLD/FLEET:
Fenris is their claimed home world, but have not been there since the Company Founding. Their ship is noted for being so cold, that even the Fenrisians ship crew wear heavy fur. This may be due to Wolf Lord Caldersson tribe was located to the farther north than most tribes and thus a colder climate.

PRESENT ACTIVITIES:
Currently just arrived back to the material realm and racing toward Cadia, failing to arrive in time. Attempting to contact Fenris has failed, but they continue to go home while searching for any Space Wolf ships or contacts. For now, they must regrow their numbers.

COMBAT DOCTRINE:
Their combat is adaptive to the situation. If faced with an unknown threat they prefer their scouts to scout ahead and interrupt the enemy operations. Swift Claws, Honor Guard, and Wolf Guard will Outflank with great speed. Grey hunters, Long Fangs, Imperial Knight, Predators, and Blood Fangs will make an offensive line. Shock Troops will be waiting above, until given the order of where and when to attack.

ROLL OF HONOR:
- Space Hulk "Starved Wolf"
OUTCOME: Recovery of the Mars Class Battle Cruiser, Haugbúi Haf-Víl, an ancient ship lost since Horus Heresy. Recovered numerous MK III and MK IV power armors, vehicles, and data for Adeptus Mechanicus. The Company lost over 60% of their force to include their Wolf Lord and all but 2 Wolf Guard; while encountering an ancient Tyrannid species but collected valuable data for the Deathwatch. Space Hulk was then destroyed in the warp.

CHAPTER ORGANIZATION:
Non-Codex compliant but the Wolf Lord keeps a copy of the codex, believing it as a good reference for battle plans. Previously under the late Wolf Lord Baerek they were a brutal frontal assault specialists. Under Wolf Lord Caldersson they are utilizing scouts to recon, jet bikes, outrider bikes, for rapid outflanking assaults. While using Long Claws, Predator, Imperial Knights for Long Range support. They utilize a Stormwolf to rapidly insert a large pack of Blood Claws with an accompanying Wolf Priest to great effect. Above the fearsome Haugbúi Haf-Víl rains death down.

New Blood Claws will stay usually foot slog it, until they prove themselves worthy of being part of the Stormwolf Shock Troops. After proving themselves as a Shock Troop they will their path separates.

The first and most honored is to go on to become Swift Claws and learn the Art of riding a bike. After a short time, they will go on to become Grey Hunters part of the “Honor Guard” where they will ride a Rhino and prove themselves fearless using meltaguns, and chainswords and clad in MK III armor. Sometimes a revered Grey Hunter will earn the right to wear a Wolf Claw, he has shown he is on his way to be a Wolf Guard and ride jet bikes alongside the Wolf Lord. He will be armed with MK IV armor, a Storm Shield and Wolf Claw. He shall spend the rest of his time here.

The second option and most common is to become a Grey Hunter and learn the arts of long ranged weapons such as Plasma Guns and their Boltguns. Again, their paths split. For those who have the skills of a hunter they become one of the rare scouts equipped with whatever they need to get their mission done. Others that prove themselves as marksmen become Long Fangs wearing MK III and heavy weapons.

Lone Wolves are rare, due to the fluidic pack design, but if a whole pack is wiped out in a single battle they will take the black emblem. It is not a dishonor but rather proof he stood when all other failed. That he faced the enemy and lived and did not cower.

(Sorry For bad emblem design, don't have photoshop or skills)

FLEET ASSETS:
Haugbúi Haf-Víl, a Mars Class Battle Cruiser. Modified with a large chamber that they are attempting to access but on the door, is a Valkyrie with men with wolf head below bowing to it. They also destroyed a portion of the vehicle bay to make room for the Imperial Knight and have converted it to a functional repair bay for it.

BELIEFS:
Unlike most Space Wolf packs that remain together for life, Blood for Fenris marines will move from pack to pack. This arose from their low number and inability to recruit.

Additionally they have initiation right for each rank. Blood Claws require the same initiation as every SW, Test of Morkai. To become a Grey Hunter, they are armed with a Wolf Claw and Storm Shield and seek out a Fenrisian Wolf to slay. Scouts and Long Fangs armed the same way seek out a Thunderwolf to slay. Wolf Guard are sent to far north near the Wolf Lords home village where the some of the biggest Thunderwolves live, and find their prey. Lone Wolves take an oath of vengeance, and write the names of those in his pack that fell on his black pauldron.

The Company also holds their ancient Wolf Claws in a sacred reverence, only allowing those who deserve, to wear one. This usually constrains it to the Wolf Guard. Wearing of these claws is the highest degree of respect, and have even fashioned some for humans who have proven their worth.

Despite their brother’s belief of the Wulfen, Blood of Fenris view it as what it is, a curse. They remember the stories of the “First Wulfen”, and believe that the Wulfen are betrayers attempting to atone for their sins or those weak willpowers. They believe the Wulfen should be let loose during a great battle and run rampant taking as many enemies as they can before falling.

They do not believe in riding wolves, and instead think of them as worker and pets. They enjoy and care for their wolves but believe they should serve a purpose and work for their share. Riding them is in poor taste and only shows you do not respect them comparing it to riding a serf or human.

CHAPTER BANNERS OR BATTLE STANDARDS:

Their standard is a simple Black design with a red outline, in the middle is the Feral Wolf emblem. In grey, there is knot work covering the middle third. In the first sub-standard is Baeker’s Fury old emblem, the second is the family crest of the Knight Family, the third is the emblem for the Squats. These three sub-emblems represent the sacrifice and service to all that made Blood of Fenris Company. Adorn at the top is a large deep red gem in a blood droplet design. (may go with blue since it is Fenris)

http://i.imgur.com/PamWp01.png

(Again Sorry For bad emblem design, don't have photoshop or skills, I am still looking for an artist to comission)

HONORS, RELICS, DECORATIONS AND AWARDS:
Relics: Wolf Lord wears an ancient relic armor, while riding a jet bike. The new-found Wolf Guard are equipped with Mk IV armor and Jet bikes. A single Grey Hunter pack equipped with Mk III armor acts as a "honor guard". A Leviathan Dreadnought now contains the battered body of the last Wolf Guard from Baerak’s Fury. The Companies pride, and origin of their name, a Deimos Predator named "Blood of Fenris". An Imperial Knight that is oath-sworn. A Squat (hey, they are rare they should be considered relics!).

They also contain numerous MK III Wolf Claws that are used for ceremonial and combat reasons. They consider them sacred.

BATTLE CRY:
"His Blood is Our Blood!"

GENE-SEED:
Stable, “Blood of Fenris” Company has less curses of Wulfen than other Companies. This may be due to them already being combat tested and their number severely lowered. Caldersson believes it’s because of strict obedience and a more natural wolf-pack design. (The Wulfen prove nothing!)

CHAMPIONS/NOTABLE CHARACTERS OF THE CHAPTER:
