HQ - Shield Captain, Paragon Spear, Digital Lasers, Melta Bombs, Cyber Familiar, Tribune (Master of Ambush WT) - 260p - Knight Errant, Librarian (ML2), Force Sword, Narthecium - 190p ELITES - Hataeron Guard X4, Paragon Blade X4, Praesidium Shield X4 - 380 TROOPS - Custodian Guard Squad X5, Adrasite Spear X5 - 325 - Custodian Guard Squad X5, Adrasite Spear X5 - 325 - Custodian Sentinel Guard Squad X5 - 325 HEAVY SUPPORT - Custodes Caladius Grav-Tank - 195 Total: 2000 Right, the KE would probably roll on Divination and would attach to the Hataeron Guard Squad with the Tribune and infiltrate right up the middle. The 3 troops will infiltrate as well, trying the counteract their lack of mobility and low range shooting. the Caladius would sit in the back field or make a slow advance up the board... The infiltrate special Rule states: Units that contain at least one model with this special rule... The master of Ambush WT states: Your warlord and 3 non-vehicle units of your choice have the infiltrate Special rule this means that units with only 1 model with the infiltrate special rule can still infiltrate so the tribune (who gets the rule) attaches himself with the KE to the hataeron guard which becomes 1 unit and the other 3 troops choices can also infiltrate. hence all 4 units being able to do so. EDIT: just going to type this up now incase someone posts a response: the Tribune and KE can still attach the the Hataeron Guard and infiltrate because you can attach to units that are infiltrating because they are still deployed even if it is last Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ChainMachete Posted March 31, 2017 Share Posted March 31, 2017 The FAQ stops your infiltration strategy dead in the water. However you can just take advantage of By Falsehood Cloaked to pin-point deep strike your KE exactly where you want him and since he can only be targeted by snap shots that turn, he'll probably survive until the next one when you can join him to a Custodes squad. If you take Protector and nominate your Tribune, it's basically 2 free victory points (short of an unlucky stomp or strength D hit) even if the KE doesn't survive. Remember that attaching the KE to some Custodes looses them the benefits of Sodality, so something to watch out for if your opponent has a Typhon, Also don't you have to choose between Librarian and Medicae upgrades? But if your KE can't join a Custodes unit until turn 3 minimum (assuming you don't want to footslog or deepstrike one of your Custodes units), the Narthecium may not be very useful anyway and putting it with the Hetaeron & Tribune really isn't going to win you any friends. Also give your Sentinel and Hetaeron units 1-2 Solarite Gauntlets each. And that Tribune really needs a shield if you decide to use the Protector oath.
