Can't wait to see the finished products, as this is helping me get motivated to get started on my own Skitarii forces.

Though I do have a question where did you get the clear bases?

Thanks man, if I'm motivating people then that makes me real pleased about these posts!

My previous ones were ordered from Sally4th

ALERT - A full maniple of Legio Astorum has gone rogue. In its treachery it has swayed Knight Houses, a fleet of Aeronautica, a Regiment of Sacred Cadia and hat appears to be... By the Emperor, a company of the venerable Raven Guard Adeptus Astartes.

The Blood Angels are on route but they will need support. Heresy such as this demands the highest response;

Send the Captain-General.

Belisarius Cawl shall recover the God Machines for the Imperium.

We've also heard that the Sanguine Vision chapter are en route, lead by a Mysterious Avatar of the Angel himself.

These traitors actions Will. Not. Stand.

=======

625PL / 11,000 points of Blood Angels, Adeptus Mechanicus & Adeptus Custodes, ready to battle the god machines.

For anyone who wants pics from the Apocalypse, head HERE

Being quite obviously the most venerable member of the Imperium present (and also the only one least likely to throw themselves forward unto the anvil of battle with Titans...) Belisarius Cawl was appointed Warmaster of our team. In terms of influence the Ad Mech all castled up in a corner opposite most of the enemy Knights and did all they could to weaken them. Luckily there wasn't anything bigger pointed Cawls way either.

Kastellans got one solid round of Dakka in, doing decent damage to a Knight (but rotate Ion Shields and some insane rolling meant not as much as i'd hoped from 72 shots with Elimination Protocol & Wrath of Mars) but were then identified as a threat and put down - taking lots of fire to do so.

Kataphron Destoryers overcharged themselves to death but again took a solid 12 wounds from a Knight at a key moment.

Skitarii were a distraction, Aquebus' having a little sniper match with a Vindicare.

Onagers were okay - I'm not very lucky with Neutron Lasers but they did solid chunks to Knights in turn 2.

At one point a Callidus attempted to sneak up on Cawl but between his own attacks and a heroic intervention from a nearby Custodes Shield Captain, she only managed one measly wound - easily healed by the Arch-Magos.

  • 1 month later...

Maybe the full kit will have some more mechanicus-y ones.

Might be a good idea to suggest this to one of the big Shapeways 3d printers, otherwise we'll have to wait for FW options (which will be crazy expensive, as always).

Sadly I'd like to use these guys at GW events. So it's 1st party or bust for me :(

Only one I found that is doing parts for the Armiger is Gadget Plus and the only alt head he has is the wolf one. Though he does have 3 new CC weapons and a new carapace up.

Stuck the weapons together. Next stop is getting all the metal down on the armour plates!

Chainsword is in case I decide I want to use the CA Relic and the Codex isn't out in time for the doubles. Though, the Rad Cleanser's 2D6 auto-hits, wounding on a set 3+ with 3D(!!!!) may be too much to pass up!

Hoping to get my house up and running soon. I have two Armigers on the way. You stuff is looking great! Would you suggest priming in metallics or priming black then painting the metallic base over the prime?

Thanks mate!

Spray it silver baby! It's so so so much quicker and leadbelcher spray is really good.

The Armigers are just straight silver spray and the Styrix was blue beforehand but again just silver spray.
