Is anyone using Sisters in Shadow War: Armageddon?

Hiya everyone! I've started gaming again to do just that @op :smile.: I used to play Necro when I was lil with my brother. We have only just got the rules, so we havent had a game yet. Here is my gang so far. We have had a game of kill team which I won though, against his Death Watch. Yay, girl power! X

Lovely OML Sisters! That Verridian conversion is really cool (and I'm jealous of those robes . . . )! :biggrin.:

Also, welcome to the B&C! I always enjoy seeing a Sisters player who's new to the forum (and I phrase it that way since most all of them have been playing Sisters a whole lot longer than me). Here's a flamer and three barrels of the Empror's Holy Promethium. :tongue.:

Feel free to ask about, well, whatever. The group in this particular part of the B&C isn't super large, but to me that made it less intimidating as a new frater.

Thanks for the warm welcome Servant of Dante! I'm a bit rusty at painting, but having a lot of fun ☺ The robes were my favourite part to paint, so thanky you! Yes a smaller size is much less intimidating. Plus I tend to find Sister players are good people!

Im sure I will have loads of questions after my first game of SW:A. The gaming side I have always found much more difficult than painting. Looking forward to my opponents face when they see my lil power maul

I'm a bit rusty at painting ...

... says the poster whose only image is yeoman work. If your ture interests lay in the painting, you might benefit from familiarising yourself with 'the forge'. Lots of useful stuff up there.

W.r.t. SW:A rule and tactics, we have another slowish corner of the B&C you might consider launching inquiries to.

I sure hope you've been paying points for grenade girl to have a frag grenade . . .

"It's not a grenade, the knobbly texture on the outside is just a macro interpretation of knurling to help her grip the container. You see that she's holding it up to here mouth? Yeah, it's actually a canister full of nutrient paste. You caught Sister Roslyn on her lunch break you jerk but she'll take care of your heretics just the same." - Eddie in a gameshop circa 2006

Sisters generally get a pass for weapons in my league because they are metal, you are required to add weapons you buy for them but not required to remove scopes, grenades, etc

Both of my specialists are flamer girls with heavy bolters on their backs to represent their additional weapons I bought for them.

Btw the heavy Bolter is really nice for a team that does not want to be in close combat as much as possible

I actually have paid the points for her Grenades :D She is the designated grenade caddy! Thank you for the save though Eddie! Where would be the best place to post my Killteam? I couldn't see any SWA in the army lists section.

Thanks for the tip Samerandomhero! I've just ordered 4 Sisters with Heavy Bolters for this and 40k! At the moment I'm running a Heavy Flamer and a Storm Bolter.

Having my first game of SWA next Sunday against Imperial Guard. I will be surprised if my brother has 1 miniature painted lol. He's a very talented painter, but can never settle on a paint scheme or army.

SW:A lists can be posted here :smile.: To make it stand out as a SW:A list putting SW:A in the topic title and Shadow Wars: Armageddon in the tags will help others see it :smile.:

I plan to customize a Sister of Sigmar model into a Repentia model for SWA :biggrin.:

I have a unit of Sisters of Sigmar I converted up to use as DCA. Robed fanatics made more sense to me than the girls in the skin-tight leather outfits.

Can't wait to put mine together! Like many of you its just a matter of pulling them out of my pewter pile and getting them ready for the table.

WIll defo be next on the paint station after my Knight is finished (soon, soon...)

So far it looks like Heavy Bolter for the Gunner? I'm gonna paint a Canoness for use as the leader. I rarely take it in 40k but cant wait to paint the model.

They are still free.  It is no longer one big PDF for all the "non-core" factions (basically, everyone but the 3 in the book - IG/AM, Marines and Orks), but each faction now has their own smaller PDF.

How's everybody getting on?

Had my first game of Necromunda the other day and got whipped by some Chaos Space Marines - not sure if I will stick with HB gunner rather than getting more boots on the ground? What are you running? Has anything proved most effective? Theee are 4 of us that play regularly - CSM, Guard and Nids - I only feel confident going up against Guard!

I'm having a lot of fun, but am stuck in dead last. Can't seem to beat the Skitarri player. Most of it is bad rolls on my part and the rest is his ridiculously long range guns and tendency to get the high ground.

That said, the melta is brutal and the flamer puts the hurt on chaos cultists.

Evening all! I just played my 4th game of Shadow war, this time against the Inquisition. I feel really bad, but I tabled my opponent, without taking any casualties :wacko.:

He just couldn't deal with power armour and lots of sustained fire storm bolters. It did feel really good to get my heavy flamer, cooking heretics like the good old days. Took out 3 acolytes in one turn. How I miss templates :)

Does anybody have any advice for Inquisition teams? They seem really week compared to the other teams.

Guy we play with does storm shield inquisitors with some kind of melee weapon, and as many storm shield crusaders in front to tank hits for the rest of your army.

He's doing pretty decent.
