Check out Massaen's profile. Funny how small the world is sometimes.

On a related note, would there be any interest in reviving the strategy? 8th appears to be taking us back in time with a lot of the changes. It's entirely possible we may be able to revive a lot of the concepts.

Thoughts?

And good riddance to :cuss units.

The only reason I doubt the assault from any vehicle thing is because it would mean disregarding a $70+ kit thats hard to transport and doesn't do much.

What if assault vehicle meant you got to re-roll charges? Or added an extra 2" for disembarking?

Would you consider landraiders then?

Back on topic though.

I'm very weary of these new rumours, because I don't want vehicles being too versatile. Noooot about having rhino spam everywhere again... Especially mixed in with the free rhinos Marines get.

  • 2 weeks later...

Would be nice to see it updated, at it's core it;s still good, just we lost so, so much when compared to Daemonhunters (weaponry over 24", strike squads being better at combat then a basic tactical marine and fearless ect) but it would need to be majorly revamped to reflect the new list.

I think we need to see how 8th edition plays in order to figure out if the "Way of the Warrior" treaties could be applied. Naturally they would need an update, but if overall strategy sees a "comeback" from days of a previous edition, then would tactics also return?  Maybe.

It's still a waiting game.
