Building up Thousand Sons

Just setting out into Magnus' sons and looking to develop along a theme. I plan on my Thousand Sons being an elite force that wields plenty of psychic power (so completely different to my other 2 legions)

 

To start with i think i might work to the Pride of the Legion.

 

Currently i have built:

 

A terminator librarian (who is likely to become a praetor so i can use the termi's below as a command squad)

3 standard terminators (2 with Fists and one with dual claws)

9 heavy support marines with volkite culverin

A box furioso dread with 2 cc weapons

Arhiman

 

These guys come in around 1050 depentant on Mastery Levels and equipment.

 

What i currently have that is unbuilt and awaiting use:

The Burning of Prospero box set (30 marines, another Arhiman and 5 terminators

 

So what i am considering is:

 

Vets- possibly two squads of 10 (certainly with asphix shells and a mastery level)

Rotor cannons- with asphix. At least 6. Because they look awesome. And kromlech do amazing miniguns....

 

So what can i do with the spare Ahriman?

 

Im also considering holding off on the tartarus until i can get some scarab occult to make up some skemet terminators

Guard of the Crimson King is a ridiculously good RoW even without Magnus.

 

With what you have

 

Convert Ahriman to your Praetor. Praetor doesn't need Terminator armor so much because he comes with 2+ and can buy a 4++ and a Paragon Blade

Convert your Termy Captain to a Primus Medicae. Awesome Consul for Sehkmet

Convert your Terminators to Sehkmet and get 5 more.

Everything else you can use as is more or less.
