Alessia's Wip Sororitas + extra bitz

Recommended Posts

Aww thanks Bjorn! :smile.: They look better in person. I don't have very good lighting or a good camera at the moment.

The bane of every hobbyist. A spectacular paintjob may look like a pile of snot if the camera won't cooperate, and models that are mostly dark/black are some of the most difficult ones to catch on photo. Your lightsources is also a yellowish light above the models with some black object in the background, not the most ideal circumstances for photographing black sisters. A lightbox might be an interesting solution.

Regardless, your sisters look pretty nice on photo, so when you say they look even better in person, then you did a great job!

Ta very much Greyraven! The black object would be my crappy lamp :smile.:

Here is a Empire soldier I painted ages ago, using a light box. I think it really helps, especially if you don't have a room with good lighting.

Hi gang! I've been working hard on my Sisters, and should have lots of updates this weekend. I've nearly finished a Retributor squad, as well as 4 more sisters, which will finish all the infantry needed for my 500 point list, yay! Then I just have 2 vehicles to paint, for my 500 point list to be fully painted. For now though, here is my first built vehicle. I've made it so it can easily switch between Rhino and Immolator, because I'm far to indecisive :smile.: I'm very proud of it, as I find this the tricksiest part of the hobby and even the tracks line up. X

Thank you so much Vairo, Bjorn and Hushrong X

The Retributors are really striking on the tabletop, I'm actually happy enough to call them finished and varnish them.

I've only played 2 games of Shadow War so far, but my team is doing really well. The only thing that was lacking, was my leader's inferno pistol having such short range, so I gave her a combi-flamer instead :) I've got a games against Guard and Tau this week, and Nurgle next week, eek!

Hiya everyone! After a much too long hiatus from moving, I'm back! And I bring with my finished 500 point army, yay!  Still haven't quite got the hang of my new camera for troops, but I'm slowly getting there :) I've had so much fun painting and gaming, I've decided to carry on painting up to 750 and possibly 1000 points! :woot:  So next to do, to take my army up to 750 points, Is adding a Repressor and Seraphim unit. I'm converting the Repressor from my old school Immo and I already have the Seraphim models. I'd really like to get to 1000 points so I can add an Exorcist, but it will depend on funds.

"Additionally" I recently picked up a copy of Space Crusade from a charity shop. Epic nostalgia feels! :biggrin.: Not that I'm old enough to have played it when it originally came out, but it was my first introduction to Games Workshop and 40K. Would people be interested in seeing me paint it up? Obviously I will still be playing Sisters.   Thank you internet rule wizards! X

Sweet! Seeing this army grow is making me envious! Lots of well painted Sisters has that effect in me.

If you did an exorcist would you use the kit from GW or kit bash your own?

Thanks Bjorn! I didn't notice until I posted the pics, the couple of mistakes I made. So I'm going to clean up the front plate, where the black and red meet. Also the red highlighting isn't quite strong enough, so im going to add another brighter layer. Overall Im happy with it though, I really want to paint more now lol.
