Listen up Guardsmen!

As some of you may or may not be aware this years donation drive for the board has started early.

This year in addition to funding the regular upkeep of the forums we have also set the bar higher for much needed upgrades and repairs!

We are already making great strides in this crusade, however we need each Guardsmen to step up. Let us ensure that this glorious board, which offers us such a great platform to parade our armies and discuss how best to purge the enemies of the Imperium, continues its glorious march forwards in the name of the Emperor!

For those who go and enlist now to aid this grand crusade I will personally ensure they receive their next Regimental Standard free*!

Well Guardsmen, I am disappointed in that none of you have stepped up for the Emperor.

Ok folks, I've updated the ticker. We are at $3500 (it actually like 3503 but eh....). Getting SO CLOSE to the goal of $4500. At our current pace we could SMASH this out of the park if we go right up to the August 31st deadline.

 

If you can, please help out and keep the ball rolling.

Good things are coming down the pipeline.

Remeber this year is more than just maintaining the board, the plan is to upgrade it too!

 

We have a lot of plans that we would like to do for the site in the next year, a small sampling being:

 

- Upgrade the site to the most recent version of the IPB forum software.

- This includes fixing the gallery area, email system and the page delays people see currently due to scrap code.

- Bring back the ETL (though it will probably be a 2018 event)

- Bring back the Golden Bolters

- Add Facebook/Twitter account integration

- Add Tap-a-talk integration

- Finish the Project: Argos army (totally on me btw but life being what it was......)

 

There are other things we would like to do but are still debating, restoring Blogs for example. Once we have a more solid footing for these will let you all know if we will move forward with them.

A quick update from Kurgan:

 

Ok folks, we are down to 61 days to go. We still have $800 to raise in order to meet our goal.

 

I spoke with Argos yesterday, once we hit the goal the repair/upgrade period will start.

 

First step will be to get the server back in fighting trim.

Once that is complete we will update the forum to 4.x of the software!!

 

We are so close!!!

An update from Kurgan:

Good news everyone!

We hit our goal!!

So, what are we to do. Well Sept. 1 we will pay for another year of service. In addition I've already spoken to Brother Argos and we will be making arrangements to not only get the server repaired but the IPB database as well and then moved over to the 4.x version of the software!!


Now, I want to put forth a little challenge for everyone. Last year we hit our goal early too (cause you all always come through and we do that each year) and we rolled into 2017 with $1600 (roughly) in the till towards this years fees.

Once again we have hit our goal early (6 weeks early in fact) and I'd like to challenge everyone that can, to continue to donate, donate for the first time, or whatever to help the board out. Let's go into our "fee pay period" with a leg up on the next year (or emergency money towards whatever may happen).

So I bumped the target goal out a bit more to see if we can reach that.

Thanks once again to all of you for supporting the B&C and continuing to make it one of the best places on the web for discussing 40k.
