Alternative dreadnought sized legs

Recommended Posts

What legs scale well with a regular plastic dreadnought? Apart from sentinel legs that is. Has anyone ever tried carnifex and/or hive tyrant legs? Want to do either a daemon engine or dreadnought conversion for context. Edited by Tanith Ghost

I know somewhere someone sells legs designed for use as Contemptor-Cortus legs (slightly more mechanical/rough), so they might work alright if you were staying away from the biological side.

Do you have a board-friendly link for those legs? They look rather interesting.

I presume an ebay link is board friendly? Here, from Blood and Skull. Shapeways also have a version, but thats £40 instead...

Shipping is a bit of a pain, but they've got a bunch of other cool vehicle stuff if you want to combine postage.

Oh wow that is pretty nice! Might use those too but this particular instance I'm referring to a castaferrum pattern (think that's what the regular ones are called).

Ah, my bad, didn't realise you were sticking particularly with castaferrum. Just thought the box might actually look almost ambulatory on Contemptor style. Can't say whether tyranid legs would properly give off the demon vibe, and DP legs might be a bit too thin unless you GS'd them out like Augustus is doing to a Bloodthirster's. Aside from those, only other model I can think of is the helbrute itself, or perhaps a penitent engine.
