Sculder Posted June 21, 2017 Share Posted June 21, 2017 hello all longtime lurker, went to a friend today to watch a match of 8th edition and the following came up: shooting at a unit of Tau suits with some drones which toughness do you use to calculate everything? Majority toughness like before or the toughness of the suits since they were the parent unit? we were unable to find something in the rulebook about this or we must have completely missed it.... any help is appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes, every entry in the Tau Index explains that Drones are setup in coherence with the unit they came with but from that point act as a separate unit. Elios Harg Posted June 22, 2017 Share Posted June 22, 2017 There is one: In Deathwatch Kill Teams, they specifically state that they can have mixed Toughness and how to handle it, if there is a majority, then you use majority toughness. If there is no majority, then the defender gets to choose. That is the only instance, that I know of, of mixed T and the unit's rules address it.
