I think this is the new primaris dreadnought we seen a teaser for some weeks ago.

I like the gun, doesn't look too futuristic though. The model as a whole seems to be huge, at first it looked to me like a toddler with a nappy/dipper from bellow the view port. Not a huge fan, would have been nice to see something less bulky in my opinion, perhaps more elegant like the contemptor dreadnaughts of old. Thoughts?

I feel it needs the helmet like the MK IVs. Though at the moment it kinda has a "Yo Dawg I herd u like killing heretics so we put a dreadnought in a dreadnought so you can purge the unclean while you purge the unclean" kind of vibe. To be honest I'd have just preferred Contemptors and their variants.

Gorgeous.  God, it's so well executed, and that silhouette!  What a perfect Templar... teehee.gif

Not a big fan of the Dreadnought though.  Skinny iddy biddy widdle wegs under all that bulk just looks silly to me. And God those tiny footsies tongue.png

Not bad from the waist up though, adding some properly bulky, hard Imperial tech edges to the Stay Puft Leviathan design, while all the other Primaris stuff is going the smooth and sleek way of Tau aesthetics.

But didn't we already see this pic a while ago?  And what's it armed with?  Looks like an Assault Cannon, two Storm Bolters, and some missile thingy?

Several more pictures here, too: http://natfka.blogsp...-redemptor.html

Aside from the pointless exposed ammunition belt (would make more sense for it to just feed from the same side the ammunition source is located), I actually really like it.  It's functional looking, but also clunky enough to be Imperial.

Also like that they chose to use the sarcophagus as opposed to the exposed head.  The poor Marine already died once.  Why is his head sticking out and vulnerable in his dreadnought body?  I mean, what if the Marine's head and face were all mangled? Thought the dreadnought was supposed to be controlled by some kind of direct neural interface anyway.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

That pic has been around a while, still waiting to see the other primaris things though. We know they will do more gravis armored dudes, hq models, there has to be more coming. And if July is the month for it (I hope) then we should be seeing some sneak peaks over the next coming weeks.

Regardless I do like the look of that dreadnought, as with everything though...cost is the deciding thing for me. I am tempted to hold out until I see the full DG range...i've always had a soft spot for nurgle. I don't want to jump the gun and dive into any particular faction until I know the full deal with Primaris and DG.

It's a bad angle. The upward angle in the original pics made it look much better.

You can see the new Dread artwork behind the case. Or some of it.

Cool.

Sorry on mobile and don't know the code to link this but the Dreadnought looks like Kalibak, the son of Darkseid.

Alternatively, maybe M.O.D.O.K.?

I love it, the punisher/assault cannon primary armament is beastly, and the alternate build doing the rounds with the plasma incinerator on steroids looks just as appealling.  Also there seems to be an option for a smaller punisher/assault cannon as its secondary armament on its left arm...if you can arm it with both, then this thing will throw out some dice!

The comments about the small feet I disagree with, but its a personal thing....you woulddnt want this things feet to be too big or else it would look too clown like...similarly, the other pic doing the rounds from a more angled perspective seems to show that the legs are deeper than they are wide...much like the Guilliman cast.

I do think its huge though...a truely monstrous size!

Ill be buying at least 2.

All it needs is a black and white paint job and some more crusader seals.

I like it. To me, it looks like someone in the 41st millennium tried to make a Contemptor, but because of the degradation in technology and skills it's boxy and sharp angled rather than the smooth curves of the Contemptor.

I almost like it. The arms look great, the rear looks great, but tiny feet are unbalanced looking, and there's something off putting about the front. Maybe if it was more vertical it would look better. It'll also loot up for orks really well.

I still think that design is like a million times better than the Contemptor Dread....but then again, I'm not a huge fan of the Contemptor. :P

Still not to big a fan. I do like how the toes appear to be posable, though. Look at the left foot lifting off the ground. That will allow for some dynamic posing.

Say what you will about the box-naught, but at least it's squatness means it doesn't look like a stiff breeze will knock it over. The legs on this thing are daft even by 40k standards, don't see any reason why they didn't bulk them up to match the torso. The combat arm also looks quite spindly compared to existing dread weapons.

I do like that gatling gun armament, though.

I still really like it. But it needs to have a head area and nor a sarcophagus. Hopefully I can use some librarian dread bits to do that.

The combination of curves and slabs makes it look a bit of a mess. I'l probably pick one up if its a decent price because i love dreads, but I'm not excited about it.
