They look great, the metallic red is very cool.

Not sure what you mean by 'specks' but sometimes I find that airbrushing a colour after airbrushing silver can result in random flakes of the silver appearing over the colour. Generally fixed by a thorough clean of the brush between colours. Not sure if this applies to your issue.

I see what you mean about the silver flecks showing through...using thinner glazing and more layers of glazing would probably get rid of them.

**edit** also I would do all of the shading before you do the red.

As for the glue...in the case of the Primaris LT. I would just stick a couple of grenades between the belt buckle and the fauld, that would cover that tiny spot of glue up.

Thanks Fellas, I am veyr happy with the overall scheme. But with it being a new scheme i need to work on the execution.

@Surreal: For the flecks i honestly think they are small dust particles from the room i was in which has construction next door, and i varnished them on to the model. I will have a second batch up this wee to compare. As for the Glue i bought alot of the BA knife things i plan on throwing one on there.

@Duskraider: Much appreciated coming from you, you now i love everyone of your threads haha.

I pre ordered both Agrgressors and Reivers and cannot wait to get them. I should have 5 more primaris and 4 easy build reivers close to being finished this week

love the scheme for the reiver, very sinister.

Awesome progress on everything too, looking great and I have to admit, you've really sold me on the metallic red, usually not a fan but you've done a splendid job.

Ok so predicament, metallic or non.

Don't mind the poor quality of the wash on the Metallics. Still messing with those. I just want opinion on schemes over all. Thanks again guys!

hist I really like both, I have to say the first 2 pictures are ,to me, by far the best, as the metallic bits poking through look like the armour is incredibly battered and worn with bits of metal/ ceramite showing through the damaged paint work

Re prime black, unless the stencil has left an "indent where the successiv layers of paint ha built up.

If that is the cse, you will need to either sand the area  flat or strip the paint if doing the whle vehicle.

Plus shame on you for pinching stuff from your Space Wolves army

Haha I will have to sand it. Priming is doing nothing.

The only thing I'm taking is the Achilles it literally had no place in my 30k list I had the model so figured I'd paint it up.

Plus unless I'm mistaken Achilles Alphas are a bit better for 40k than 30k

Well metallic is is!

So I have a Achilles I'm working on. Repurposed from a SW. It has knotwork on the top that paint isn't covering up. Any suggestions on how to cover it?

Difficult to say without more info, but covering it up with decorations could be a good shout

. Sadly, having just checked the FW site the Flesh Tearers brass etch set no longer seems to be there as that had some fairly big plates you could use. The BA one is still around though and has some pieces that would be FT applicable.

Otherwise, the Baal Pred kit comes with a few larger icons you could use, the Venerable Dread kit has some medium sized cruxes, plaques and banners that can be mounted onto flat bits of vehicle armour.

I'll check eBay for some BA bits.

I do have cricut and can make my own stencils

All of this brings me to a question I've had for a while. What BA iconography is it acceptable for flesh tearers to use?

I don't think there's much detail on that, so it's ultimately up to you, but personally I dont see them using much in the way of winged blood drops. If you look at the BA brass sheet the winged skulls, skull with saltire, name plates, cruxes and skulls are clearly quite generic things you could use. I think there's also an argument for the icons with a solitary blood drop on them rather than a winged blood drop.

Existing Flesh Tearer art seems to mainly focus on Buzzsaws and skulls for decoration, but they are generally quite austere unless it's Seth.

Spoilered for size
