After weathering Lootas, shoota boys, and random rokkits from all over my army, an enemy dread surived my turn with 1 wound left. Ramshackle tanks and piles of scrap with guns run them down regularly at my local store. It's all been such a stompin' that they haven't even needed to find Da Kaptain himself. Warhead01 Posted September 29, 2017 Share Posted September 29, 2017 My Grots nearly killed 3 intersepters inflicting 5 unsaved wounds the survivor was then set on fire with 15 auto hits from 5 burna boys in a trukk! And lunch was served! Also one of my deff dreads had taken 6 wounds. it was charged and hit 3 times on overwatch wounds 3 the charging marine hero then fails 2 saves and lands in combat, destroys and explodes the deff dread which then inflicts 2 mortal wounds killing that marine Hero! Highlights include... - Warboss beating a contemptor so hard it retreated. - A squad of kans laughing off two rounds of butcher cannon shooting from three sources...and passing the morale check - Nobs assassinating an IW champion, earning StW - A trukk running over a cultist - Burnas. Brother Casman Posted February 23, 2018 Share Posted February 23, 2018 Last night, I had a game against a friend of mine, my Orks versus his Necrons, using the Open War cards, at 75 power. His Lychguard had just wiped my Nobz with Power Klaws, and were advancing towards my Warboss when they stopped by 30 Grots. The Grots fired everything they had (presumably in a panic) and wiped out the (admittedly wounded) Lychguard! The next turn, the Grots (feeling bolder, or perhaps just driven on by the Squig-hounds behind them) shot, then assaulted a Necron Lord and killed him too! The remaining Grots then weathered a ton of fire, and the 8 or so left held on to an objective, and forced a draw instead of a loss! So yeah, Grots really are surprisingly dangerous in large numbers, and I'm sure the Runtherds were really proud of their little runts.
