Jarl Caldersson Posted July 15, 2017 Share Posted July 15, 2017 WG Jump packs, seeing as you are trying to get into melee ASAP I would go with combi-flamer and chainsword or frost swords with SS. 5pt for a SS that allows a huge increase in survivability is worth it imo. I'm still trying to find those axe's, they look a lot more Space Wolf than chainswords do. The scale on the old weapons and gear seems to fit these new Primaris-sized models better than before. I wonder if you could use the old jump packs on the Primaris so you could still distinguish between Jump Packs and Intceptors, if you want to use inceptors in the future. For your wolf lord pictured in the first post, where did you get the elongated tiny wolf skull that you used on his right shin to replace the regular skull? The skull came from the side of the storm bolter in the wolf pack set. There are 3 of them on there. I cut them off with a hobby knife, carefully as the bottom part can be tricky. Doing hand swaps so I'm going to use bolt pistols from the regular wolf sprue. The question I have is should I give them chainswords from the same place or use the dwarf axes as counts as chainswords like I have for my Grey Hunters? I cut away the combat blade and carefully drilled through the hand to insert tha axe handle. Haven't attached the pack yet as I'm using the decorated Blood Claw pad from the wolf pack. Since these guys are the fresh recruits I don't plan on using a lot of Wolf decoration on their armor. They haven't earned it yet. As I was trying to figure out arm configurations I was looking for a suitable left hand and ran across the Thunder Hammer from the MKIII sprue. I have ruined a few in process though. The wolf skulls on the sides of one of the bolt pistols are another good source of those bits. And I got super lucky on the axes. I did spend the better part of a year looking for them on multiple bits sites. WIP of my Rune Priest. I've been considering doing primaris-scale for my DW, and would definitely need a couple termies. The gravis armour is the obvious choice, but the mono-pose of the legs/torso makes it tough. Maybe assemble then slice off the legs at the crotch and place on a similarly cut termie crotch?
