Interrogator Chaplains Storm Bolter or Powerfist?

So If Im taking an Interrogator Chaplain in Terminator Armor would I be better off rolling with a storm bolter or giving him a power fist. 

I intend for him to be  around the deathwing knights so Im thinking im better off giving him something to be useful in close combat.

I would give him a thunderhammer instead of a power fist. Same amount of points, the same stats, except that you have a fixed 3 damage instead of d3.
