Thank you! The four minderz are done but for their teeth and jewellery, and the two copper poles are WIP.

One minder has a bracer of flayed Space Wolf skin, complete with a tattoo.

Today’s lunchhammer will be the grot standard bearer sitting on the weirdboy’s chest.

Thank you for the comments! I really appreciate it.

The Weirdboy looks top-notch, and I love love LOVE that banner. Proper Oldhammery goodness! Gives me a distinctly Mesoamerican/Aztec vibe too which is cool.

Thanks. That’s what I’m aiming for.

And talking of banners…

Another YOINK! :D

med_gallery_63428_13471_1663256.jpeg

I’ll be doing glyphs on this side too.

And the other side (also WIP: more vomited spectral snakes, and glyphs).

 .... OOH ...that's not disconcerting for someone with a mild distrust for snakes... :laugh.: ... Now i see where the banner gets it's inspiration from...!!!

We need to see your army all together after all this weird boy shenanigans :tongue.: ...

You don’t like snakes? Oops! :D

After this model I want to finish the nine nobs (they’re really close to completion) and then I’ll do an army shot.

I do need to put this army aside soon and get ready for armies on parade (my AoS Anvilgard vs Seraphon. The latter of which I haven’t even made yet).

Wow, the green on those snakes is amazingly vivid. It communicated the otherworldly nature of it brilliantly.

Thanks. It’s just one coat of Hexwraith Flame over white. :tu:

Boss da weird boy is vomiting bitey things again

:D

Weirdboy SnagaGob (snake-mouth, for obvious reasons), his banner-grot and four minderz are complete:

Awesome, can hear the waaaagh! from here!

Thank you! :D

Here, have a bagazillion likes. Absolutely brilliant.

Thank you very much!

I’m working on finishing my choppy nobs, and the debris pile terrain from Speed Freeks, which I’ve had for ages but haven’t touched.

Thanks!

I definitely want the snaga box when it comes out! :)

Who are you on Twitter?

I got SpeedFreeks when It first came out but I never got around to painting the terrain, so that’s what I did most recently.

It was difficult to know when to stop. I could’ve kept adding colours and decals…but I think they’re functional :tu: I didn’t want them being more colourful than my army!

One thing I did figure out was a good way to do heavily rusted metal, which I did on the sheets of corrugated iron. I base-coated them scrag brown, washed Agrax then sponged on Rhinox Hide and Leadbelcher and I really like it.

I’m still working on the choppy nobs -so few bits to finish but taking so long!

Did add a service stud to make one trophy skull into a marine skull.

It’s a pin head. Nice and simple.

....

It all turned out Really Really Superb in the end... awesome work bud

I'm going to borrow the "heavily rusted metal" tip :ph34r.:... thankyou for that.

I think your attention to detail is what sets you apart from the average joe 40K/AoS modeller... Is it that good ol Japanese attitude of doing everything the absolute best you can that creates such awesome work !?!?... I find myself spending much longer than I should looking at your completed models :laugh.:

Cheers, Mithril

Thank you very much!

Actually I’m British :D have been living here 20+ years though.

I got four kommandos done today and will finish the 5th (and the squad) tomorrow:

med_gallery_63428_13471_757576.jpeg

med_gallery_63428_13471_861933.jpeg

The nob ended up reposed a few times. I might have to do some GreenStuff bandages to cover sloppy bits.

One’s lobbing the squad’s tankbusta bomb.

Another has a Glasgow Smile :D

You can tell they’re kommandos coz they’ve got sights. ;)

I figure these boyz are mad enough and bad enough that the rest of the warband daren’t call them cowards. Not to their faces, anyway.

They’ll have red war paint and will have covered their skin in dust to make themselves red like the earth.
