Update

Still got a few days left of my time off. So spent bit time yesterday building up the Champion for my killteam & tomorrow aim to start my Armies on Parade board.

For the Champion for the Killteam, I wanted this to be little tribute toward Honsou second in command in Storm of Iron, who led a squad of Renegades. As always, I just like the base the Assassin's come with, so felt it had to be use for him & it was part of a birthday present one my friends got me on Wednesday.

Also trophy wise, I'm using one of the out of print FW Grey Knight. This is been base on game 999 that happen that Throne of Skulls April, just this saw Lord Narach & Drago both on a single wound each on turn 5, with the game going onto turn 6. It took over one of the hardest fought games which was originally against Space Wolves in 2012.

So just two more to model for this squad.

Then bit work on the mini Knights. I'm still working out what I want from them & what trophy I want to add.

Then the Primaris Hellblaster unit. They just need matt varnish & then just get battle damage & blood for the blood god added.

Forge World weather powder really great & in past post - use MIG pigment fixer to seal in each layer. Your best getting the Forge World Model Masterclass Vol1 which has a lot of article on different type of weather.

Small update

Getting the Champion built a few hour ago for the second squad. Chose to also have him arm with the knife from the AoS Khorne set. I want to sort of avoid the power fist as my worry is that it will clash when I get around to building the Exalted Champion.
Went with one of the AoS Orc axe, to tie in with the narrative of the event they will be taken part in. There also 8 Skulls on the model, I'm trying to make sure I can get to this since it Khorne favour number.

Then the Forge World dreadnought I got for my birthday. So just rebase the model to tie in more with my World Eater & Iron Warriors. I've removed the banner for the time been, just for carry the model to the event if I can. But I think I might add a Banner later on using the Bloodletter Banner & on top of the pole maybe add a trophy base on any epic moment from the event.

Then the mini Knight just got glue onto there base today. I'm still working out a few thing, but aim get them painted soon. I've got two week to plan before I'm off again to paint my own models.

Call of Chaos just got announce during today for the 15th September t the 15th December.

I might not vow all I want, like I might leave the third unit of Khorne Berserker until the Christmas holidays along with there Rhino but this might change as well as maybe adding a Contemptor Dreadnought?

Update

While I've already shown photos of these models before. Finial parts arrive to get the models complete. So I've just got the two Bolter arm models to add to them which should hopeful happen on Friday.

Then the World Eater Champion that was painted today.

Also got around to converting up the Icon Bearer for the second unit.

Here the Khorne Berserker Champion that was getting painted during Wednesday & yesterday.

Also spent a bit of time today getting the Exalted Champion built, inspired by a Chaos Marine from the Bloodquest comic

Then the last two Khorne Berserker along side the Icon of Wrath Berserker ready to complete the second squad. Using one of the AoS arm that has the axe in the arm to help add to the theme & narrative for the event there for.

Then two more Battle Brother where built for my Iron Warriors Killteam. My club going to run a campaign from October to November. I'm aim on taken part & try get some photos of my games.

Then looking out parts for my Call of Chaos vows.

   I'm using Call of Chaos to get my World Eater up to 2000pts/100 power level before the end of the year. I've not really use Maulerfiend that much in game during 8th ed. Also they feature a lot on the Warhammer World display, which my warband inspired by.

   I mange to get a single set of Renegade upgrade when they went up for Last Chance. I already have 30 model, so though take them to all 40 & allow me pick some models like if I want to use heavy stubber or not in games.

A friend going to try pick up the Terminator models (there a big Blood Angels hobbiest) that are only in Japan right now, as I'd like the Terminator captain to use the bare head with the bionic for this conversion.

I said above about one of the 5 Chaos Marine units. I had a lot MkIII models from swap some of the Heresy box game models. I was going try collect a Horus Heresy force, but it really is rare seen anyone play the game here. So though keep them aside for future Iron Warriors models. So here the art work for this unit

Update

Painting station from yesterday. Just got two more Iron Warriors to build, for Call of Chaos reason there Exalted Champion.

Here how the mini Knight are looking.

Today been spent getting these Khorne Berserker painted. However, I didn't get as much time as I'd like to get the models painted. Had to return home sooner than later due to recent storm hitting the UK & trains been cancelled.

Aim to try use my lunch time get a hour painting in, try get the banner finish so it ready to get the Khorne Icon sprayed onto it.

Also meant to get photos posted of a game I had two week ago against my friends Necrons. I'm planning on getting some more photos of my games. I'm starting a Kill team campaign that my gaming club & aim get some photos of my games with plans having my gaming club post them along with other games.

Update

There possible going be a few post over the next few days with quite a few updates. But for now, this update will be on the Warhammer World Campaign weekend - Dark Zone, which both myself & Syn took part in the force of Chaos. Check out Syn blog & his Slannesh warband, think there going be some great news there :D

As always, Warhammer World run really great events. Everyone there to enjoy there games & enjoy the hobby. It the best venue I've been to for events & I spend way to much on Forge World & Bugman bar to be honesty. I have 7 great games from 3000, 500 & 1750pts during the Friday to Sunday. Pretty much Friday was wake up 6am, travel from 7am to get to Nottingham for 2pm, then getting the first game that 5pm - 3000pts.

I'm happy got Army Nominee. It was great seen the Chaos Gods rep this with Khorne, Nurgle, Slannesh & Tezenetch. Only myself & Tezenetch had the god favour number as well, I did joke with the event team about give the our armies the respected Chaos number.

But for now here photos taken by the Warhammer World event team from the event. I've got a lot of the photos posted up on my facebook page. Other wise should be over the next few days. Just right now I'm current busy painting more Thousand Sons unit for a friend for a event we are going to end of this month. I'm also current trying to get my Armies on Parade board sorted for this weekend.

Follow on from yesterday update

Here my Call of Chaos vows so far

The five Iron Warriors kill-team are now finish. With the unit been use during the Warhammer World campaign event & also current battle it out that my gaming club campaign that started last week.

Then the Armiger, both where painted on Sunday from start up until varnish stage. With weather powder & Blood for the blood god done a few days later with all the other models needed for Warhammer World.

8 out of 10 Cultist. There current finish now, so there photo be shown that the weekend.

World Eater Contemptor Dreadnought that was bought during Warhammer World, along with a three more pack of World Eater upgrade. The Helbrute just arrive two days ago after seen the model on ebay. So make a few changes, more base & trophy & then re-paint the model.

The two Exalted Champion for Call of Chaos side of things.

Then three Berserker that toward Call of Chaos. The other two battle brother for this squad & complete there vow for Call of Chaos, will be base upon two Daemonkin Warbands.

So as said the two Berserker will be base upon these two Daemonkin warbands.

One quick change to a the Siege Dreadnought. While travel to Nottingham, my case took a small bump. The only model effected really was the Siege Dreadnought, with the Melta arm Iron Warrior breaking. The model was just fix enough to use in games during the weekend. But ended up worst when return home. So just replace him with Siege Breacher I had spare

In the list I'm planning for Rapid Fire, aim on keep the model as lone Heavy Stubber - the other three points wise help me with a 6th Terminator for Lord Narach squad.  Just want to keep this conversion just because feel stand out :D

I'm going search few parts to see if I've got any Renegade parts left to maybe get another Autogun conversion done.

Update - Armies on parade

With past Armies on Parade, I general like to have a bit more time to build & paint my board. But due to a lot thing, meant building the board on Sunday (last weekend) & then spent about 5 hour in all painting the board, thanks to the Games Workshop colour spray which help.

For the theme I wanted this to be base around my Iron Warriors & the Warhammer World campaign weekend I took part. My Iron Warriors have just landed & building up there fortification. There about 100 models on the board** & I wanted the sort of image to be like the Hobbit, when the Orcs leave from there hidden lair in the Battle of Five armies.

I wanted the trench area seem like, because it Iron Warriors building fortification. The ground becoming corrupted & discolour to the ground around it.

**I don't care if it look to busy. It how I wanted this to look & for the narrative. End of the day it what I enjoy in the hobby, what I think may look cool & happy about the hobby. Much like any model I build & paint.

Apart from the Cultist & one Siege Dreadnought. A lot of these models & unit where use in the campaign event few week ago, as well as the campaign event last year that started off the whole narrative story for it.

Few of the poster are base upon events, gig & place that are important to me. While other are from the old City of Death codex I think or when Games Workshop did a pdf of them for city fight. But if you check out Warhammer TV, Chris Peach has a video on poster & what he done for his.

Aim to have this table link up with my 2012 Armies on Parade in my goal to having a gaming table. I think for the other four part of the Realm of Battle, I'm most like going to keep them free space & allow me build up some cool terrain in the near future with the new City fight terrain & try get more trench built. It been a goal to try get a gaming table that home so I can get more games & just for me, the terrain & table just as important as the models & armies we use in our games.
