First time I've had free hand turn out good enough for me to keep it. Each squad gets a Roman numeral on their left shoulder pad.

Finished my Hydra, here are some pics:

Next up is a converted renegade ogryn, which is obviously very WIP:

What do you all think of the ogryn? Does it need a little more work or not? I'm sort of stuck for ideas to make it obviously chaos without making it appear too mutated, which is a route I want to avoid as fluffwise it is simply an enslaved ogryn pumped with frenzon (or whatever the rage inducing drug is) and sent at the enemy.

By the way, I love the beastmen malefic lords, great work!

Maybe make the eye holes a bit irregular? The hood itself look great. Other than that, you could likely rely on your paint job to give it that ragged R&H feel.

That hydra flak looks sweet as hell. Did you airbrush on the chaos graffiti?

Ya know what i think would complete the Ogryn is if you drilled or carved out one of the eye holes on the hood and added an optic of some kind.

Maybe some kind of ventilation port on the area around the mouth.

Nice Hydra!

Thanks everyone! Great ideas for the ogryn, I'll scavenge my bitz box and see what I can muster.

Azekai- I didn't airbrush the graffiti, I cut out a stencil of the star of chaos on paper, held it over the tank and stippled over it to give the rough graffiti look. Actually very easy to do, I'd recommend to any R+H player. I only found out about the technique myself a few days ago by asking around on the B&C for ideas, so I won't take any credit for it! :P

Not part of my pledge but I'm pretty happy with it.

All the weapons are magnetized in case they decide to ever give heretics vendettas or vultures.

Made progress on the Malefic Lords... these things are the pride and joy of my traitor guard. Still need a bit of touch up and rust.

Edit: geez, these look washed out. They aren't finished, but I promise they aren't as colorless as they look! D:

Alright, here are the finished Malefic Lords. I included the magnetized daemonic possession markers in the second pic.

Need to get back to work on the rank and file infantry... as well as come up with a coherent scheme for my IG vehicles.

What reciepe for the skin tone?

Heavy dry basecoat of Elysian Green, followed by a slightly less generous drybrushed coat of Rotting Flesh. I put some slight Bleached Bone highlights on top of that, if memory serves, but I didn't like how that looked much (too pale instead of nauseous pallor I was looking for). I ended up watering down some Camo Green and letting that settle around prominent bits like the shoulders, forearms or foreheads.

They are pretty greenish, but I wanted that to act as a visual indicator of Nurgle's Rot.

My Marauders/Disciples are assembled and primed, ready for painting... I have settled on a colour scheme similar to this test piece I did today:

Hopefully some work in progress pictures coming soon!

P.S. I am not sure the model above is genuine judging by the terrible cast, hence why it is a test piece for colour schemes, my mauraders are real deal :)
