Chapter Focus: Imperial Fists

You cannot reroll a reroll

If I can get away with it in TCGs because it's left unspecified I can certainly get away with it on the tabletop.

Rerolling the charge is perfect, perhaps less useful over the course of a game like other chapters but if your not charging with Templars youre playing the wrong army! I like it and its definitely a better boost than the previous iterations of our chapter tactics.

Ofc not. BT one is weak. I am disappointed to be honest. Also no protection against psykers.

You never know what the stratagem might be though - 1 CP to attack again in combat, no-sell a psychic attack, or something even more over the top.

No, you can't. The basic rules state it quite clearly:

Re-rolls

Some rules allow you to re-roll a dice roll, which means you get to roll some or all of the dice again. You can never re-roll a dice more than once, and re-rolls happen before modifiers (if any) are applied.

Could be that there are more than one rule for each chapter. It was that way in 7th. IF had Bolter Drills and Siege Masters. Black Templars had three: Holy Crusaders, The Lost Librarius and Righteous Zeal.

I find that unlikely due to the fact that Stratagems exist and each chapter gets one, making the tactics simpler is because all the bonuses each chapter will get once you get the whole picture.

The "well just wait for..." narrative of 8ed continues.

It's okay for a rule to stand on its own. It's also okay for a rule to be considered bad by someone else.

Or a whole system of rules to be considered poorly thought out.

I'm a bit miffed at the part of the rule affecting buildings. Yes, we do have a knack for siege warfare but buildings are, from what I have experienced and seen, an uncommon feature in armies so why even bother having a rule that you can't use most of the time you're playing?

Couldn't agree more. It should have had vehicles included for sure.
