2000 Points Tzeentch / Thousand Sons List advices wanted...

So just a simple list using the screamers to fly ahead and engage into early combat and soak up overwatch with the princes following to wreak face.

Horrors also to be used as shields for the princes and to tie things up.

Smite spam everywhere and the changling to protect the horrors somewhat. Herald was just a tax really but has long range smite.

Magnus to wreak anything with high toughness.

Any thoughts on issues I might run into? I'm happy with mobility with all the princes having access to warptime, defiantly lacking real shooting power but smite should hopefully make up for that and I think its pretty good in CC

Also having 10 CP's might be handy when rolling damage on the smites.

++ Supreme Command Detachment +1CP (Chaos - Thousand Sons) ++

3 X Daemon Prince with Wings: Malefic talon, Warp bolter, Warptime

+ Lord of War +

Magnus the Red

++ Battalion Detachment +3CP (Chaos - Daemons) ++

2 X Daemon Prince of Chaos with Wings: Malefic talon, Warp bolter. . Tzeentch: Warptime

+ Troops +

3 X Horrors: 10x Pair of Brimstone Horrors, Pink Horror

+ Fast Attack +

3 X Screamers: 3x Screamer

++ Battalion Detachment +3CP (Chaos - Daemons) ++

HQ +

Herald of Tzeentch: Bolt of Change, Boon of Change, Staff of Change

The Changeling: Boon of Change

+ Troops +

1 X Horrors: 9x Pair of Brimstone Horrors, Pink Horror

2 X Horrors: 10x Pair of Brimstone Horrors, Pink Horror

Any feedback appreciated, thanks.

Note that you can only attempt to cast a single power, like warptime, once per game turn - with smite being the sole exception, if you are using "matched play".

The list looks like an interesting experiment. I'd be happy to hear how it plays after you've tested it a bit.

Edit: You also seem to have chosen Warptime on daemon princes that are chosen from the daemons list? I don't think that's legal. You might have to change that to a power from the tzeentch discipline unless you go for the chaos space marine version of the daemon prince.

I think as long as he is just under keyword Tzeentch he can use either  a CSM or CD tzeentch prince at his choice.

That's true, but that wasn't what I was commenting. Note that he has written warptime on all his daemon princes. That is a psychic power that is restricted to units from the renegade astartes list.

Where does it say that?. I can only find that a psyker can only attempt to manifest a psychic power once per turn.

Page 215. It's called "psychic focus", and you'll find it under "matched play mission rules" below the rules for choosing mission type. Took most of us a while to find and get used to it too :p
