Keywords and the Datalink Telemetry/Linebreaker Stratagems

So from looking at the forgeworld website the other day, one of their bundles suggests that Datalink Telemetry can be used with the Relic Scorpius. FOr reference, the wording of the stratagems (http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2017/07/40k-our-favorite-space-marine-stratagems.html). Now, this would hinge on whether or not the stratagem's wording refers specifically to the Whirlwind itself (as in the unit name), or the keyword Whirlwind. If the former, this is not possible, if the latter, then Whirlwind Hyperios' would also benefit as well. Regardless, this would also apply to whether or not Deimos Relic predators can use Killshot or furthermore (perhaps scarier), what about the Deimos Vindicator Laser Destroyer paired with a standard Vindicator. Using a single Vindicator flanked by two Deimos' would mean that only the standard Vindicator would give up firing, leaving the Deimos Vindicators free to tank hunt. Again, this hinges on whether or not the stratagem refers to a specific unit, or Keyword.

Just wanted to open this up for community discussion.

Again, this hinges on whether or not the stratagem refers to a specific unit, or Keyword.

Review of the strategems in Codex: Marines shows inconsistent use of typeface alterations to indicate references to keywords and thus the lack of a typeface change isn't really evidence that 'whirlwind' isn't a reference to the keyword. Further, they establish that as a general principle rules references are linked by keyword, so by default we should presume it is a keyword reference. Just like how forgeworld's marketing it.

If you wish to discuss the implications of this you'll need to start a thread in Tactica.
