Yeah it's the old, smaller and less detailed plastic Crisis with two metal Heavy Rail Rifle bitz.

I for one prefer the latest HRR Broadside model by far tho.

I do have one question; are Broadsides worth the points? I've done some reading here about general army lists, and haven't seen them mentioned much.

I'm not looking to add more than one in all likelihood, maybe two max. I just don't want something that's better off NOT being in my army period.

I have not used them yet in 8th so cannot really comment on their worth however I do have 6 of the old plastic/metal XV88s and have started to mess around with them -

Old style - waiting conversion

Converted/repainted one on the left and one using 3rd party railguns/Missile pods on the right

Honestly? Nooooot really. I mean they aren't as bad as Riptides currently, but they get easily outclassed by Commander as pretty much all our Battlesuits.

There's hope that'll change with the Codex whenever we may get it (rumours say we are next up after Death Guard but take a grain of salt with it).

They are still fine to take in casual games tho. I for one always include my HRR Broadside since I just LOVE the newer model.

Where did you get those bits at? Really like the look.

They are from Red Dog minis but they have been updated since I bought them and I can't see the railguns anymore but you could mail him to see if he has any left over...

Here's my latest conversion from the XV88 Broadside. I basically want all of the weapons on him, shoulder mounting the rail gun; waiting for green stuff to set. The seeker missile won't be equipped though.

Kneeling pose - the arm I'm holding and waist / torso aren't glued; a lot won't be until after painting.

This is the converted shoulder-mount rail gun where I added some details to the inside attachment points.

I started by sanding the back shoulder area flat filling in the areas with green stuff. Then I used some remaining bits to make it look less bland. The rail gun can't actually fire straight as mounted, but the mount looks more feasible. I think it's cool having it angled up. I could have changed that, but didn't like the look.
