Keeper of Secrets Model

I'm thinking of finding a Zarakynel proxie, but I'd rather get one a little less booby, any ideas? Needs to be about 6" tall. Don't think my wife would appreciate me painting her/it/his tatas in front of my daughters. My green stuff skills are not good enough to just cover them.

Edit: I went ahead and ordered Zarakynel, I'll probably just give her a slight wardrobe adjustment with some green stuff. Her tabard on the front doesn't seem to wrap all the way around unless it's a very uncomfortable thong, so I'll probably cover her ass a bit with a matching rear tabard. She will probably also get some kind of Fantasy Role Playing style boob armor, as in "the-less-I'm-covered-by-clothing-the-more-protection-I-get" armor from countless games.

It's a gorgeous model, hopefully you'll like her. Only one of her breasts actually has a nipple, one is covered in spikes and the other four have eyes in place of nipples. Also, whilst she does have her butt proudly on display, she doesn't have any...details sculpted down there.

Speaking of Zarakynel, I too have that model, but I fancy converting her a bit (albeit for fun rather than out of a desire to make her more family friendly). I've got a few ideas but I'm not sure what to go with, and any advice would be appreciated.

The head: I was thinking of potentially leaving the dreadlocks off, for one because it'd lighten the workload and for another because I quite like the almost coral-like look of the sockets they plug into. That said, I do like the way the dreadlocks look so that's not at all guaranteed. I was also thinking of potentially leaving off or swapping out the tongue but again, that isn't final.

The weapons: I must be honest, I'm not a big fan of the sword she comes with. It's not that it's hideous or badly sculpted or anything, I just think it's a bit boring. I'm not sure what I'd replace it with though; a whip would be cool but it seems a bit cliche. I do have a daemonic katana I was working on for my scratchbuilt KoS, perhaps I could use that? Or maybe a trident?

The spikes: I'm not so sure about these either. On the one hand they do look impressive but on the other hand they look like they'd be a pain to attach and likely fragile. I might greenstuff over the sockets on the arm and leg entirely if I don't put them on, and as for the spikey breast, I'm torn between painting the mounting points as eyes or gems, or perhaps sculpting nipples on each mounting point for a really horrible look.

Other stuff: I was perhaps considering giving her a tail, though that said her backside is a thing of beauty and I don't really want to distract from it. I was also considering trimming away most of the tabard/loincloth and turning it into "panties" of some description, though I probably won't as A: it would be rather tricky, B: the loincloth sculpt is pretty good, and C: I do want to be able to use it in GW stores and thus it can't be TOO graphic. Any other ideas would be welcome too.

The paintjob: I'm not sure what colours I'm going to do her in. My Slaanesh daemons are all different colours (in line with ye days of olde when daemons were all sorts of crazy colours and varied from unit to unit) so it doesn't have to be a specific colour, but something quite saturated would make sense. My scratchbuilt KoS is going to be a bright candy/scarlet similar to Magnus the Red's studio scheme, so it should contrast with that. I'm considering a very dark colour, approaching black, but I'm not sure what. I want to really go to town on her in any event.

Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like there's some good conversion WIPs coming our way ;) I think you're better off worrying about the colours once you've got the model conversion sorted Squigs, but to work with a scarlet red perhaps a smoky grey - Charadon Granite (old name) might be worth a look especially as it can be darked to degrees neatly with Nuln Oil. I like the sound of a tail, it doesn't have to be a big one and would be less susceptible to damage as well.

I do have some (very badly photographed) WIPs actually, they are a tad outdated but not by a huge amount as I'm incredibly lazy. The model is definitely in-progress, she needs more work before she'll see paint (especially the shoulders).

For those wondering the recipe, it's mostly putty and wire with jewellery chains, beads, GW parts and the hands + faceplate from a bootleg Sailor Mars figure.

NSFW, of course!

Front view. She's modelled partially after the FW figure (hence the 6 breasts and clawed lower arms- there will be another one obviously!).  She will also be cradling a grotesque daemonic infant...thing in one arm, for maximum "Oh god what is this abomination". My apologies for the sideways picture, something hasn't quite come out correctly.

Back view. The beads will represent "eggs" embedded in her back, much like the Surinam toad. The suckling creature she'll be nursing (no pics ATM) will be one of those horrible things. This will have no gameplay effect, unless "Sweet Emperor what is that thing I'm going to vomit" can be counted as psychological warfare. Again, sorry about the sideways picture.

Mugshot. The face is, as mentioned, from a cheap knockoff action figure, with Sailor Mars' beautiful sparkling doe-eyes sculpted over with six beady daemon eyes. Again, the shoulders definitely need more work.

Tail. I initially considered giving her a rattlesnake's tail, but I thought a scorpion stinger would be more interesting for a serpentine figure. The spikes have actually snapped off now, and I won't be reattaching them as A: they'd just break off again and B: it looks better without them.

Upper tail from the rear. Featuring more of those disgusting eggs and (hopefully) snake-like scales. I'm not good enough to sculpt the more neat overlapping scales you see on, say, the new steeds of Slaanesh, but these look OK and are very easy, if tedious, to sculpt.

I'm also working on converting the rest of the bootleg Mars action figure and yet ANOTHER bootleg figure, this time Miku Hatsune, into two other Keepers. The good thing about being a colossal nerd collecting anime figures is if you get a knockoff by mistake, it breaks, or it just sucks, they make for perfect Slaaneshi daemon material.

Excellent, that is the correct response! :D I wanted to get the right balance of perverse beauty and twisted horror that Slaanesh daemons are described as having in the fluff, so simultaneously seductive yet terrifying- hence the shapely figure and non-threatening, almost motherly posture (though she will be holding a flail when she's finished) contrasted with the...everything else. I'm not the world's greatest sculptor but hopefully when she's finished she'll look the part.

The model as it currently stands has a loincloth that isn't in the photos, I'll have to take some more pics later.

Out of interest I asked Forge World how big the new BB Minotaur is and he's 5cm/2" tall. Not nearly big enough for a KoS as I suspected (of course!) but perhaps big enough for a Daemon Prince. Change one hand into a claw, stick a weapon in the other...maybe some wings and other bitz. Sufficiently impressive base for him...

One design for a Keeper of Secrets (or maybe a Slaaneshi Soul Grinder?) I'd like to see would be something modelled after Beauvoir from NieR: Automata, AKA the most unspeakably terrifying boss fight ever.

NieR-Automata_201606_ART_Boss_ONLINE.jpg

Insane giant robot opera singer obssessed with becoming more beautiful, by adorning herself with the corpses of her own kind? Doesn't get much Slaaneshier than that.

I love that model but again with the boobs. I personally have nothing against boobs. Frankly, I like them a lot, as many people do. However, I know my wife would be upset if this showed up in the mail and I started painting it. Now if she played Slaanesh and ordered it for herself, she'd probably be okay with it; but she doesn't play 40k.

Edit: It has a very ancient Greek Artemis vibe going on. Work computer doesn't let me copy/paste, but do an image search for "Ephesus Artemis". They were considered breasts for a long time, but more recently some scholars think they are bull testicles to represent fertility. She's frequently attended by bees, which are another fertility symbol.

Following on from the previous, Dream highlighted the latest addition in a snake bodied Lady of Depravity. An impressive model and a good variation if you weren't so keen on the others, price is reasonable too :smile.:

That's a gorgeous model, and that bit of fluff is excellent. Perfectly sums up the Slaaneshi obsession with sensation in all its forms.

I'll definitely get myself that one once i'm “done“ with my T'au and if GW by then hasn't leaked anything about an upcoming Slaanesh release wave. ^^

I like to imagine her hand is up in the air like that because she just ripped a blood angel out of that turret and threw him over her shoulder to the screaming hoards of daemonettes behind her.
