I'm not sure if this works or not, since the wording of the orbital assault gives terminators DS, but doesn't appear to require them to start in deepstrike reserve. This means I can keep my cataphractii in reserve, but Golg and the Tyrants stay on the ground. You'd have to drop a few Terminators but it shouldn't matter + deepstriking 8 man Terminator squads is already risky so reducing to 5 or so might help you deepstriking them more safely. Well the idea is to have something to get safe deepstrikes around. Plus I always feel like I get more mileage out of ten good men than a single contemptor in actual games. Maybe in smaller games it'd be more valuable since there's less out there that can kill it. That said, any 1500pt lists I've seen online or on the table would likely struggle against so much 2+ anyway. With a dread on the table as well it's almost unnecessary.
