The Expansions are a community motivational event where members pledge unpainted units to contribute to the cause and then get them painted by a deadline to earn a banner like the ones in my signature.  The combination of a deadline, others counting on you, WIP pics and progress reports can all lead to some good motivation to get some paint on your models.

This soldier of Dorn will report for duty, brothers. It's been too long since I last touched plastic with a brush of yellow, or indeed, of any color. It's a mistake, one that's coming on time to rectify. And it will be rectified. What is it said? Walls fail, Fists do not? I will not fail. I have too many times before. But no, not for the expansion. My honor as an Imperial Fist rests upon it.

Absent ANY desire to screw around with Julian dates or the Makr Constant, I'm going to guess off the cuff that since 750 is 3/4 of 1000 (and therefore 3/4 of a year) we're looking at 1 October. I've been waiting for this. I was tempted to participate in two other events, but my loyalty to our Primarch prevented it. We won't discuss the time I spent in the pain glove after considering the Xeno forum event.

 

I have quite a few tanks built, but can't remember if they're legal in this event. If not, I have some characters and troops prepped to go. The VII Legion stands ready.

Aaah, this sounds like a fabulous idea! I have some new recruits that need their yellowing!

I just finished my 4th tac squad. If this thing doesn't hurry up and start, I'll be out of models! And I'm working on a company!
