Artemis, stasis bomb, rites of battle and unstoppable champ?

Ok so Artemis has his stasis bomb, it has is a single shot, single use grenade that does d6 mortal wounds to its target if it hits, and d6 mortal wounds to Artemis instead if he misses. I'm fairly certain that aura abilities work on the model itself so, with Artemis' rites of battle he can reroll hit rolls of one, and seeing as he has a bs of 2+ , and therefore normally only misses on a roll of one, would get the reroll in all cases except for the situation where modifiers are in affect, is this correct? Secondly his unstoppable champion rule lets him roll a d6 eveytime he loses a wound, a roll of six meaning he doesn't lose the wound, does this applies to mortal wounds also?

Thank you for your speedy response. Artemis seems like an auto include over a regular captain, unless you really are looking to build your character in a certain configuration.

 

He has no way to deep strike and if you're dropping plasma vanguard or AC terminators, 'pack captain is cheapest way to boost them and they are DW units that need it most. So, yeah, he is very good but mostly useful in foot slogging armies, not to mention his loadout is rather underwhelming, not even phase sword...
